Dishonest Democrats

October 29, 2018

The Fifties were a time when many Democrats were honest.  Although they had a different view of government’s role in our lives most were honest.  But no more.

Today how can anyone vote for a Democrat candidate whose party believes that in a botched abortion - with the baby separated from its mother - the solution is to kill the baby? How can any Democrat argue that this is not the murder of an American citizen protected by our Constitution? And which says nothing about abortion. Democrats predictably are hypocrites on the issue. As Ben Carson says: “If it is not a human being then why are you harvesting organs from it?"

But there are many, many other reasons not to vote for a Democrat.  In their pursuit of power they have for fifty years methodically moved to harm America in many ways. It began in the anything-goes sixties where the sometimes violent and drug-using students of the time later became today’s elected officials with many infesting our government in large numbers at all levels. It is such today that President Trump’s situation is akin to running a business composed of its competitors' employees.

A common thread throughout the years is the dishonest nature of many Democrats. I saw this regularly first hand as the founder and owner of a forty-three-year-old small construction company, Houston’s oldest. Every small business such as mine at some point has had the painful experience of dishonest customers who refuse to pay even when they acknowledge there is no problem with the product. A number of years ago being curious about their nature I did an analysis. Almost all were Democrats.

Apparently, Democrats do not believe that honesty is something important to pursue. Studies show that forty percent of Republicans attend church compared to twenty percent of Democrats. While attending church often does not mean one is necessarily a good person or a person of faith, it does indicate a choice on Sunday morning. A choice to improve oneself. Democrats make that choice less often than Republicans.

Democrats' dishonesty is embedded in their tactics. In a C-SPAN video, Nancy Pelosi is shown speaking to Democrats on the House Democrat Agenda: “You smear somebody with falsehoods and all the rest, and then you merchandise it. And then you write it, see it is reported in the press that this, this and this [happened] so they have that validation that the press reported the smear...and then we are going to merchandise the press' report on the smear that we made.  It is a ‘tactic.’”  And they get away with it because of a compliant liberal media.

For fifty years Democrats have employed this tactical dishonesty in pursuing power by using their megaphone of the media, academia, and Hollywood to control our culture. It has resulted in legalized abortion, gay marriage, and transgender rights with unisex bathrooms. It has resulted in each of us being controlled through political correctness. And it has resulted in their insistence on diversity knowing that diversity without assimilation divides us. And they conquer.

Dishonest voting is another tactic. They object to being properly identified to vote even though it is required for doing virtually everything else in life. They support open borders so illegal immigrants can vote for them. In sync with this is their vested interest in chaos continuing in South America so those escaping immigrants can become their present or future voters. And did you ever notice that in questionably close races Democrats are almost always the winner? LBJ, John Kennedy, and Barney Frank were all elected with illegal votes. And Alaska’s Republican Senator Ted Stevens was deprived of a win preventing his vote - which would have repealed Obamacare.

Allowing Democrats to implement their positions on issues would destroy America. Many support Socialism. Most support compromising our security by gutting the military and diminishing support for the police. And most support universal health care costing thirty-two trillion dollars which would require doubling all taxes and would result in rationed care.

Any group pursuing power to the extent of failing to accept the results of elections is the greatest danger to any democratic nation. Democracies throughout the world who have done so usually become dictatorships.  Democrats do not accept that Trump was elected. They wish to abolish the Constitution-mandated Electoral College knowing that the liberal large population centers on both coasts would allow them to control presidential election outcomes forever. They do not accept Kavanaugh’s legitimacy as a member of the Supreme Court and want to impeach him. And if they gain control of Congress they will add members to the Supreme Court to control it.

We cannot allow this to happen. To keep the American dream alive and secure for your children and grandchildren all Americans must vote only for Republican candidates. A vote for all Republicans will limit the power of the Democrats who wish to destroy us.

Vern Wuensche grew up in the tiny farming community of McDade in central Texas. He obtained a BBA and MBA from the University of Texas and holds a CPA certificate. In 1975 he founded what is now Houston’s oldest residential construction company for 42 years. He wrote a book, Overcoming Legal Abuse as an American Entrepreneur, about the difficulty of starting and running a business without a properly functioning legal system. He is an Army veteran. An early marathoner, he ran the length of Galveston Island in the early 1970’s, continuing his distance running regularly all his life. He is a Christian who is serious about his faith. An Elder for twenty years, he has regularly attended Missouri Synod Lutheran churches all his life.

But his passion has always been politics.  As a child, he hung bell-shaped door hangers on doors in McDade for Eisenhower in 1956. And since 1972 he has worked on campaigns of every type, attending 22 Republican state conventions, usually as a delegate. At the same time, he continually studied presidential politics. He ran for President in 2008 and 2012 placing seventh and tenth in the Iowa Caucus and the New Hampshire Primary. Details of the races can be seen at http://www.voteforvern.com  His current long term project is the development of a Republican Farm Team. Anyone considering running as a Republican at any point in the future for any race should begin early, develop name identification and develop relationships with funders before they decide to run.
