An Ancient Socialist and a Baby Socialist

Bernie Sanders has been the darling of the most radical Democrats ever since he ran for the Democratic nomination against Hillary Clinton. He came close, but she used the Democratic National Committee and a number of dirty political tricks to cheat him out of the nomination. What is amazing is that if her name had not been Clinton, he might well have become the Democrat's nominee.

Since then he has convinced thousands of foolish young Democrats that Socialism is the way to go. His talk about free college and forgiving student loans plays well with these politically uneducated kids. But he never explains how he would pay for all the goodies – and they’re too dumb to ask him.

Now, I know it would be unusual for a freshman Representative with only a few months of political experience under her belt to run as Vice-President on a major party ticket. But Obama was a no-name freshman senator who started running for president as soon as he was sworn in. Senate records show that he spent far more time campaigning than he did performing his duties. So why not OCA?

Think of the advantages. She is beautiful; Bernie looks like he’s about to have a stroke. He’s constantly frothing at the mouth; she has a beautiful smile. And if Bernie dropped dead in office, and the Dems managed to do away with presidential term limits, she’s young enough to be president for thirty or forty years.

The real beauty of this matchup is that neither of them knows anything. So they would get along swimmingly. The Bartender from the Bronx has the same answer as Bernie when asked how she would pay for her multi-trillion dollar Green New Deal. Take the money from the rich.

Neither of them seems to realize that if we taxed the rich 100% of their income, there would not be enough to pay for all the freebies they have promised. And then there wouldn’t be any more taxes to pay for anything since all the former rich would be broke. (Remember, the top 1% pay 40% of the income taxes collected; the top 10% pay 70%. The bottom 50% pay less than 1% of all income taxes.)
