You Want To Play With Elliptical Billiards? Bring Legal Actions. You Want Half A Chance? Go After the Politicians!

A Note to the "Fathers Rights" Movement . . .

Some "activists" think they have the legal establishment right where they want it. In the same breath they rightly lament that nowadays judges routinely make up the law as they go along.

Isn’t that why we should want to impeach them?

Besides, the time and money it takes even if you succeed in getting an Appellate Court to reverse a decision is not very practical and will do you little good. Your children will be grown up and your assets will be dried up. All judicial victories for the average litigant are pyrrhic victories.

Federal judges are appointed and serve for life. State judges are either appointed or go through the motions of an election where they have legislatures adopt rules that they are not permitted to discuss the issues. Then why have an election?

Judges can put in you jail for looking at them the wrong way. Politicians should be our favorite targets. The judges don’t protect them they way they do themselves. Besides, Representatives have to stand every two years and Senators every six.

That’s in order to make sure they haven’t expired in their usual horizontal position.
