Orwell was an Optimist
Not only will none of these be arrested for insubordination and
treason. But now the ex-chief of military intelligence Ami Ayalon says
that, while he opposes such insubordination, he believes that what Israel
needs is MORE soldiers refusing to follow "illegal orders", in other
words, MORE military insubordination.
Now it is well known that the Far Left exercises hegemony in Israel
over the media, the universities, and the courts. What is less well
understood is that much of the military is under the same hegemony,
including most of the intelligence community. This is why Israel’s
legendary intelligence services sat back on their duffs and supported
Peres and Rabin when they decided to turn the heart of the country over to
PLO nazi terrorists. This is why they never got around to explaining to
the pols why Oslo will never work and why the PLO is merely arming for
attacks on the Jews. Ami Ayalon is as good an explanation as any for how
Israel managed to place its very existence in jeopardy without the
military brass or intelligence issuing a single warning against what the
Left was perpetrating. Ami Ayalon should be placed in prison for life
for these failures.
The hottest issue in the Knesset this week is an initiative by Knesset
Member Yael Dayan from Labor. Yael is the daughter of Moshe Dayan. She
is the chief lobbyist in the Knesset for animal rights and for homosexual
rights. Years back she blocked the construction of a Voice of America
transmission tower in the Negev that would have brought in millions, cause
it might have upset a few widdle birdies.
This week Yael Tinkerbell Dayan has proposed that the Knesset debate
the sex lives of religious women. You see, surveys show that religious
women have better sex lives than secular women, and Yael wants the Knesset
to get to the bottom of things, triple entendre. The pseudo-religious
party SHAS is upset that the Knesset is being turned into the letters
column of Playboy and is protesting.
I am wondering whether the kangaroo trials of the people to be arrested
for having politically incorrect bumper stickers will ALSO be held in
Rabin Square.
