Breaking News:  Israel Arrests Czech Prime Minister!

  1. News Flash: Israel has arrested the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic!!

The Czech Prime Minister was on a state visit to Israel, and in one of his speeches he stated that Arafat reminds him of Hitler. The Israeli Attorney General immediately dispatched a police squad to arrest the Czech PM for inciting against Oslo and against our peace partner, this in line with the recent calls by Shimon Peres to end all public denunciations or criticisms of Arafat and the PLO leadership.

Ok, I give in. Israel did NOT really arrest the Czech PM. That was just a Purim gag. The Czech PM DID however compare Arafat to Hitler, and no doubt Peres WOULD really have liked to arrest him for that. Of course, the Czechs apparently learned something from Munich and from the campaign for Sudeten self-determination that the Israeli Left never learned...

  2. Ah, human rights in the "minds" of the Left. It is always so entertaining to listen to the Left speak about "human rights". Human rights in the leftist canon are always protected in such a studiously comic manner. Suddenly the Taliban terrorists and bin Laden’s hoodlums have "human rights", unlike those working in the World Trade Center. And it goes without saying that laboratory animals have human rights.

And now along comes Meretz bimbo Zahava Galon. Meretz has a long history of selecting female sanity-challenged bimbettes to represent it in the Knesset, and currently Galon is the Knesset Member trying to outdo all the other Meretz entertainers in her leftist extremism. Today she has a guest Op-Ed in Haaretz, the newspaper in which no expression of treason ever misses press time.

Zehava is very concerned about human rights, all of a sudden. No, not about the human rights of the children at the Karnei Shomron pizza parlor blown to bits by the gent invited in and armed by Shimon Peres. And no she is not concerned with the human rights of their mothers, nor of all those women murdered and wounded by the assorted suicide bombers whose careers were launched for them by Meretz. She is not concerned with the human rights of the children of Gilo and Pisgot under PLO fire. She is not concerned with the human rights of Jews whose homes are being shelled by PLO mortars and rockets. She is not concerned with the human rights of the families of the soldiers kidnapped by the Hizbollah. In fact, to be brief, she could not care less for the human rights of any Jews. Just like Betselem, huh?

So whose human rights is she suddenly all upset about? Those of Dirani and Obeid, the two Lebanese terrorist leaders Israel is holding in custody. Dirani of course is the gent who grabbed IDF navigator Ron Arad 15 years back and ignored the Geneva Convention and simply sold him to Iran, from where he has never been heard since, although Zahava is not concerned with Arad’s human rights nor those of his wife and daughter, and Obeid is Dirani’s spiritual guru. The two are guests of the Israeli prison authority, although the communists have been protesting and demanding they be set free, now joined by little Zehava. The commies of course would also like Mordecai Vanunu, jailed for nuclear espionage, to be set free and indeed declared a national hero. Strangely, the rest of the Knesset has not passed a bill assigning Zehava as the prison intern working for Dirani as his personal Monica.

  3. It has suddenly become very fashionable for our Lefties to endorse the treason and insubordination of those soldiers who are the opinion that they need only follow orders when they happen to feel like it, and in particular are under no obligation to obey orders as long as Israel "occupies" any Palestinian lands, which I guess include Tel Aviv and Haifa.

In any case, among those suddenly endorsing the rights of soldiers to disobey orders are lefty Knesset Member Roman Bronfman, who cheered on the military insubordination at a rally Saturday night of the Left taking place the very same moments during which the PLO was blowing to pieces Jewish children in Karnei Shomron at the pizza parlor. In addition, the McCarthyist ex-Attorney General Michael Ben-Yair, the fellow who cooperated with Peres and the Left in their McCarthyist prosecutions of the anti-Oslo dissidents after the Rabin assassination, also suddenly supports the insubordination. But then again, he never really had much respect for the rule of law..
