The Israeli government of Sheriff Sharon plans to let the Palestinian
Mini-Fuhrer go to Beirut for the Arab summit and so release him from his
house arrest in Ramallah so that he can have a nice junket. All to appease
the US State Department.
The media here are full of the Sharon government’s "reasoning" for this.
You see, the house arrest has affected Arafat’s "self-esteem", and has
created for him feelings of inadequacy, of deep depression and detachment.
If he goes to Beirut, this will enable him to confront his anxieties, truly
to feel the pressures and the disappointments of world opinion, and so to
give him the courage to arrest the terrorists.
Really.
Meaning, after 4000 years of Jewish history, the government of Ariel
Sharon has decided that the most effective weapon that may be used by Jews
against anti-Semites is psychobabble.
And no doubt a similar set of psychobabbles will be produced to explain
why the same government will fail to keep Arafat OUT, why it will NOT refuse
to re-admit Arafat to Ramallah, after his Beirut junket. Why it will NOT
exile him while assassinating thousands of his terrorists in his absence.
A few days ago we reported the story of how the German television station
investigated the death of the 12 year old Gaza Poster Boy last year and
discovered that the boy had been murdered by the PLO, and had NOT been hurt
by Israeli fire.
In the past few days the German television station has come under fire
from Israel’s leftist media. How DARE they say something that makes Israel
look good and the PLO bad? First Tom Segev, the anti-Zionist post-Jewish
Haaretz columnist and Palestinian-wannabe, attacks the station. Their
investigation does not convince him - he still wants Israel to be the
villain. Then the flaky Adam Baruch, Maariv bohemian columnist (although
to his credit he mixes some Talmudic discussion in between his PC leftism),
says essentially the same thing. So here we have Israel’s newspapers
attacking Germans who dare to defend Israel and uncover the crimes of
anti-Semites.
Welcome to 21st century Orwellian Israel.
At the same time Israel’s leftist anti-Jewish columnists have a new bee
in their bonnets. They are terribly upset. It seems all these non-Leftists
are going about the country and saying "We told you so!". Haaretz
columnists are foaming at the mouth. That is the very worst imaginable crime
in the opinion of these Leftistswhoareneverwrongevereverever.
Their first cousins are the lefties screaming against those of us who have
bumper stickers that read "Indict the Oslo Criminals". Indict?, they
bleat. That would be anti-democratic! The Haaretz letters page is PACKED
with such letters today. Sure THEY indicted all sorts of people for
expressing anti-Oslo opinions. They even indicted Rabbis. They attacked
freedom of speech. They indicted Margalit Har-Sheffi for "failing to
prevent a crime". But indict leftist politicians for failing to prevent
the murders of 600 Jews? Indict the leftist leaders for imposing the Oslo
debacle on the country? Hold them accountable?
That defies the very first rule of PC, which is that leftists must never
be held accountable for anything.
Finally along comes Professor Yuli Tamir. She was a cabinet minister in
the Barak junta. She writes an Op-Ed in today’s Haaretz.
Sure, she concedes, less than one in five Israeli Jews today define
themselves as left of center. But this is just proof of how successful
Israel’s Left really is!!
Huh?
Yup, the great Professorette is convinced that Israel’s Left is at the
height of its righteousness and strength because the Right has failed to
come up with any real set of plans and ideas, proving that even IT accepts
the Left’s Grand Strategy of National Suicide. In other words, when even
the Right does not know how to rescue the country from the threat to its
existence imposed upon it by the mindless Left, then this proves how correct
the Left is!!
Tamir says the Right just wants to go through some catharsis measures of
yelling at Arafat and shooting a few of his hoodlums, but will then fall
into line and follow the lead of Yuli Tamir, who will be marching as band
leader when she leads the Jews into the concentration camps.
