The Quiet Death of RRH

Behind all the noise and smoke, there is one thing that has been ignored, not surprisingly, by the media. That is the death of the RRH doctrine this week.

Back when the Barak junta decided to turn southern Lebanon over to the Hizbollah terrorists, the Israeli Labor Party and the Oslo Cultists assured us all that if the Hizbollah misbehaved after the capitulation, Israel would respond to any provocations REALLY REALLY HARD, or RRH for short. This is the familiar RRH doctrine heard in other contexts. When Barak and his boys wanted to put Syrian troops on the banks of the Sea of Galilee, those worried about the consequences were assured Israel would respond to Syrian aggressions RRH. And at every stage of Oslo, the Lemmings assured us that if Arafat so much as steps out of line, Israel would respond RRH.

Well, all this week, the Hizbollah has been shelling northern Israel. In contrast with the assurances by the Israeli Labor Party that the Hizbollah would engage in nothing but quilting after Israel’s capitulation. And Israel’s response? Has it been RRH?

No, grasshopper. It has been meowing and purring.....
