The Camp David Two-Step (or is that Goose-step?)
Hard as it is to believe, it is only slightly more than one year since
Ehud Slobodan Barak went to Camp David, where he offered Yassir Arafat
East Jerusalem, including the Old City and the Western Wall, plus nearly
all of the "occupied territories" plus parts of pre-1967 Israel plus
tribute plus letting 150,000 "Palestinian refugees" enter Israel, and
Arafat responded to the generosity with a year’s worth of nazi atrocities
labeled by the media "Intifada II". Naturally, the media, the Israeli
Left, and Shimon Peres explain away the PLO reactions as being caused by
Israel not being generous enough, by Ariel Sharon going for a stroll on
the Temple Mount, an act almost as provocative as an Italian politician
going for a walk in the Vatican, and of course Jewish "settlements". Why
Jewish "settlements" in Samaria should be regarded as a provocation, while
Arab settlements in the Galilee are regarded as a natural right is never
explained. And the response of the Israeli Left to the Year of Arafat
Atrocities? Continue to seek "talks" and some sort of new "deal" that will
obligate only Israel and not the PLO!!
Anyway, what with the holidays approaching, we thought the time might
be right to repeat-post the Camp David Marching Song, composed right while
Barak was in the midst of his attempted appeasements of the PLO in June
2000:
The Camp David Marching Song
When a man’s an empty kettle, despite all them medals,
Just to register emotion, like cowardice or delusion,
