Just before the D-Day against Islamist Fascism....
(and related stories)

  1. The attack on the United States by Arab Nazis was in many ways unprecedented, but in other ways it has all too many precedents.

It now appears that in the attacks, about 5000 people died. If computed as proportional to population, Israel has had as many or greater numbers of terrorist victims every year, including in the years since the start of the "peace process". Israelis may be forgiven if they take some small comfort in the fact that now, amidst the horrors in Manhattan and Arlington, at long last Americans understand what sorts of animals Israel has been dealing with and how futile is any attempt to seek a "peace process" with Arab Nazis.

  2. Unfortunately, not everyone has internalized the lesson, especially those in the US State Department. The US State Department, long the occupied territory of the Arabists, and is already calling for Arik Sharon to let Shimon Peres go and meet with Arafat this week, although we have not heard Colin Powell offer to go and conduct similar peace talks with Bin Laden. Apparently Powell sees things in a manner similar to the French Ambassador in Israel, who insists there is no comparison between the attacks on the US and the suicide bombings of Israeli civilians, because - after all - the United States did not DESERVE the attacks. (We have no doubt that the French government will click its tongue and moan in sympathy when it listens to all those Arabs saying that now after the events last week the US and the world know how the po’ mistreated Palestinians feel when they get bombed for murdering Israeli children.) Ariel Sharon has yet to respond to all this by recognizing the Corsican Liberation Front.

Now here is a mystery. Suddenly in the midst of the current world crisis, with the Palestinians suddenly shivering in their nappies, with the reptilian Hanan Ashrawi explaining to CNN viewers that all those Palestinians out there celebrating the attacks on the US just were misinformed and the moment they UNDERSTOOD what REALLY happened they of course were filled with human sympathy and Christian good will, with Arafat himself giving a liter of his own green blood while the nurse failed to make peace by extracting 16 gallons of it, suddenly while the US is getting set to construct parking lots in the Baghdad of the PLO ally and hero Saddam, SUDDENLY Arafat wants to talk peace with Shimon Peres. After eight years of post-Oslo nonstop atrocities. After a full year of open PLO warfare.

Now let us recall a thing or two. In 1991, Arafat and his Gauleiters stood shoulder to shoulder with Saddam Hussein, supported the Iraqi annexation of Kuwait and the atrocities there, cheered on the SCUD missile attacks, and chanted for a Saddam victory. When Saddam’s troops forced Kuwaities to drink petrol and then roared with laughter as they fired into their bellies and watched them explode, the PLO cheered them on. After George Bush Sr. blackened Saddam’s eye but then had an attack of weeniness and so left Saddam on his thrown, Arafat and company nevertheless were in the doghouse. Arafat was demonized and stigmatized. No one thought the PLO was a legitimate partner for anything but retirement in Tunis. [And by the way, the very best opportunity for implementing Denazification of an Arab fascist regime was in 1991 after the defeat of Iraq, but George Senior was too pusillanimous for that. If it turns out the attack on the US had Iraqi involvement, I hope all Americans will remember this inaction of the First Dad.....]

But then along came Shimon Peres and, leading Yitzhak Rabin by the leash, decided to save the PLO from oblivion. Peres decided to resuscitate the PLO, turning Arafat into a "statesman", recognizing the PLO as the "legitimate representative" of the Palestinian "nation", and then importing the PLO’s stormtroopers into the suburbs of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Naturally, the rest of the world was unable to position itself as less pro-PLO than Shimon Peres, and the rest is history.

Having succeeded in turning Israel into the Valley of the Shadow of Death with his earlier policies, now Shimon Peres is once again trying to save Arafat’s bacon, after His Ugliness has found himself square in the sites of an enraged America looking to kick ass. As more evidence emerges by the hour that the Bin Laden crews had PLO connections. Suddenly Peres also wants to meet with Arafat, and never you mind that there were as of this morning 108 Palestinian attacks on Jews SINCE THE WORLD TRADE CENTER attack!!! Naturally Shimon Peres is being cheered on by the usual amen chorus in Haaretz and the rest of the Israeli Left.

Let us make one thing clear. If the Arabs were to construct concentration camps and then offer to hold peace talks with the Jews if only they would agree to enter the gas chambers voluntarily and without a lot of fuss, Shimon Peres would be on the BBC demanding that Israel and the Jews NOT allow this historical opportunity to strike an accord for peace slip past. The rest of the Left would be denouncing all those who oppose this Arab peace proposal as enemies of peace and demand they be arrested for criminal incitement.

Sharon, by the way, has officially prohibited Peres from meeting with Arafat, and Peres has officially announced he is going to go anyway. Which means now would be as good a time as any to slap Peres into prison and throw the key away. And let us just see if the Labor Party will have the courage of its convictions and quit the National Unity Government just when George W. is readying the US military to deal with Islamist fascists with Wagner music beaming down from the loudspeakers.

  3. During the 1991 Gulf War I was in Berkeley and witnessed the unanimous support by the US Campus Left for Saddam Hussein. I witnessed the marches of the pro-Saddam Left, the blocking of highways and bridges in support of Iraq, the calls for an Iraqi military victory over US imperialism, the cheers by the Peace Protesters each time it was announced that a SCUD had hit Israel.

And now the same pro-Saddam Campus Left in the US and Europe will take time off from its battle against globalization and will once again march in support of Arab Nazism.

  4. In a few weeks, after the religious holidays, Israeli campuses will open. It is inevitable that Israel’s Arab students will be marching about campuses with posters of Bin Laden and cheers in celebration of the attacks on the US. These are the same students who hold parties to celebrate suicide bombings against Israelis, who march with PLO flags on Israeli campuses, with posters of Nasser and George Habash, Che Guevera, and others.

And naturally, the tenured leftists will insist that such behavior by these state-subsidized Arab students is protected free speech, unlike - say - the demonstrations by the followers of Meir Kahane.

  5. A few weeks back, some PLO stormtroopers managed to infiltrate an Israeli army post in the Gaza Strip and kill some soldiers. Now in the investigation, one of the soldiers based there explained that he had decided NOT to storm the infiltrators because he had decided "he was unwilling to die in protecting his comrades." (Haaretz Sept 16, 01) Now in some ways he is just the natural product of the past decade of Israeli policy. He grew up in an Israel under the rule of people seeking national self-annihilation, people who told him there was violence in the region because he was insufficiently sensitive towards the Other, that there would be peace if he would simply stop trying to rule another "people", that he himself was the only obstacle to peace and that if he REALLY REALLY wished for peace - hard on a star in the manner of Jimminy Cricket, then there would be peace. He no doubt drove about in a car with stickers saying, "The Nation has Chosen Peace; So Have I", and "An Entire Generation Demands Peace". And he learned in school that military force can never solve the problems of terrorism and that Israel’s very creation caused an Arab "Naqba".

  6. Israel’s Michael Lerner, Professor of Ethics and Political Correctness Assa Kasher, is upset. Kasher, you may recall, formulated a "Code of Ethics" for the army in 1994, back in the days of the Labor Party Lemmingrat. In the Code, soldiers were taught that it was their responsibility to make sure the army never behaved in a disrespectful manner towards Arabs, that captured murderers of Jewish children be treated with respect, that the carcasses of suicide bombers be given full state honors, that soldiers always behave in a manner where the human rights of terrorists come first, and where the Kasher code never quite got around to including a section about the ethical duty of soldiers to defend their country. There was little in the code that could not have comprised a nice article for Tikkun magazine. Kasher is a longtime member of the Oslo Cult and a groupie of Shimon Peres. A man who endorsed the McCarthyistic attacks on free speech by Israel’s Left after the Rabin assassination.

Anyway, now the army is "revising" the Kasher Code and introducing a part about patriotism and love of one’s country, and Kasher is foaming at the mouth and screaming in anguish and mortification at this corruption of his Code of Purity (Maariv, Sept 16, 01).

  7. Am I the only one who noticed that the US has been a bit reticent these past years about the occupied territories of Kashmir?

  8. Does anyone know if the US Reform synagogue movement has cancelled all trips by youth groups to New York and Washington?

  9. Here is a thought exercise: If you take the national product of Afghanistan, over how many thousands of years would the US have to garnish the entire national product to cover the material damages of the terrorist assault last week?

  10. Does anyone know if Yossi Sarid has sent off that letter demanding that the hijackers of the planes that crashed the World Trade Center be allowed to retain their frequent flyer miles and transfer them to their families?

  11. Finally, every good war must have its own marching songs, and - as Hollywood has been telling us for years - even the Vietnam War was about little more than rock and roll music.

    So here is my suggestion:

The Marching Song for Peace with Arab and Islamist Fascism

99 Tomahawks here on the wall,
    99 Tomahawks here,
If one of them missiles should happen to fall,
98 Tomahawks here on the wall.

98 Tomahawks here on the wall, ...

  12. Daniel Sobelman, a very well-informed journalist and Middle East expert, reports in Haaretz Sept 16 that Citicorp Bank was long the conduit of funds to bin Laden’s organization. Numerous Islamist fascist organizations long operated in the US under the snouts of the FBI, the same FBI reluctant to interfere when these groups were funneling money into the coffers of the Hamas and the Hizbollah since, after all, those are part of the peace process. Dan Pipes and Steven Emerson long warned about these "charitable and religious organizations".

  13. The Muslim fundamentalist movement of Israeli Arabs held a Nuremberg Rally yesterday in Umm al-Fahm, a center of Arab Fascism, and cheered on Arab resistance while noting how they mourn the victims of terror and aggression "in the US, in Iraq, and in Palestine". The Israeli government of Ariel Sharon was too pusillanimous to take action against this Nuremberg Rally. Meanwhile, the Minister of the Police Uzi Landau called for demolishing the house of the suicide bomber of Nahariya, but the rest of the cabinet said this would be an Unchristian act, and as the Laborite Attorney General has been defending the decision to pay the family of the bomber a pension from the Israeli social security administration.

  14. Israel cable TV this week will be airing a special documentary on the life of their heroine Amira Hass. Hass is a Stalinist journalist for Haaretz, who devoted her efforts of proliferating PLO propaganda under the guise of news reporting. Two years back she gave a talk in the San Francisco area in which she called for Israel to be eliminated and merged into a Palestinian Arab state. Her claim to fame is that she lived for a while in Gaza and now lives in Ramallah, where she exercises daily understanding of the Palestinians, and never mind that she speaks no Arabic. And never mind that a few months back she was convicted of libel and fabrication when she got sued for "reporting" that Hebron Jewish settlers had attacked po’ Palestinian children with no provocation. Can a dubbed version in English on the BBC and CNN be far away?
