Barak Trashes Democracy
(plus other items of current interest)

  1. Well, Ariel Sharon continues with his campaign strategy of faking to the left and insisting he wishes to set up a "national unity governing coalition" with the Labor Party after the elections. He also keeps insisting he will appoint Ehud Barak as Minister of Defense.

Many are no doubt wondering why Sharon wants to appoint Barak Minister of Defense? Does he also plan to name the Unabomber as Minister of Health? Can’t he think of a more appropriate position to which he can propose to appoint Barak? Maybe the Grand Mufti?

We will have more to say about Sharon right after the election.

  2. The Labor Party has based its campaign around trying to scare Israelis regarding Sharon, based on the 1982 War in Lebanon in which some 600 Israeli soldiers were killed.

Meanwhile the number of Israelis who have been murdered by the Palestinians since the beginning of the "peace process" and Rabin shaking the paw of Arafat at the Clinton White House lawn is now officially at 546, and so very close to the number killed in Lebanon. Curiously, the same Israeli Left that cannot complete a sentence without recalling the dead in Lebanon have not a single word to say about the 546 martyrs. After all, the Lebanese dead were soldiers killed in glory and valor while driving out anti-Semites and fascists who had attacked Israel for decades, whereas the 546 were innocent civilian children and adults.

The only civilian murder the Left seems able to recall is the death of Emil Gruenzweig, the Peace Now demonstrator killed when a street hoodlum tossed a grenade at demonstrators. THAT was a "political murder" they insist and so needs special commemoration.

Of course each and every one of the 546 Israelis murdered under the "peace process" was ALSO a political murder. But murders that do not interest the Israeli Left. Now those 13 Arab rioters in Israel killed during the High Holiday pogroms - THAT is something completely different!

  3. The second most dangerous and destructive policy of Israel’s Labor Party junta has always been its assault on freedom of speech. Ever since the Rabin assassination, the Labor Party has insisted that freedom of speech be restricted to those with whom it agrees. Its political opponents are collectively guilty of murdering Rabin, whose death was caused by their exercise of their freedom of speech. In recent days, the Labor Party has attempted to prevent the "underground" Arutz 7 radio station from broadcasting political commentary. After all, Arutz 7 is one-sided and we cannot allow one-sided media activity during an election, unless of course it is the one-sided media activity on behalf of Barak by the TV and radio stations controlled by the Left or the Israeli newspapers under Leftist hegemony. Haaretz - now THERE you have a well-balanced medium presenting all sides of election viewpoints.

But the latest assault on democracy and freedom of speech involves Ehud Barak’s personal jihad against poor little Margolit Har-Sheffi.

You may recall Har-Sheffi as one of the main victims of the campaign of McCarthyism launched by Israel’s Left after the Rabin assassination. Har-Sheffi was an associate of the assassin of Rabin, Yigal Amir. She might have even dated him a few times. At one point, Amir is supposed to have told Har-Sheffi that he was going to shoot Rabin, to which she responded: Sure of course you are. While at worst she was guilty of dubious taste in dating, she was later convicted of not stopping the killing of Rabin when she "could have", this on the basis of her dismissing Amir’s statements as empty bravado.

The General Securities Services agent Avishai Raviv, who ran as a mole the group of extremists to which Amir belonged, also responded with "Yeah sure you will" when listening to Amir’s bravado and was never convicted of failing to stop the killing. Neither were any of the incompetent guards and agents protecting Rabin. And of course no one on the Left has ever been put on trial for failing to prevent the PLO from murdering 546 Israelis when they failed to stop the Oslo "peace process" or prevent Israel from transferring weapons to the PLO fascists. Har-Sheffi was sentenced to 9 months in actual prison plus parole, and is now awaiting the results of an appeal of the conviction.

In any case, in one of his last acts of desperation, Ehud Hajj Amin al-Barak decided to personally intervene to get Margolit Har-Sheffi sacked from her job as a teacher. al-Barak is acting Minister of Education and decided to use this position for petty political vendetta and McCarthyist assault on free speech and democracy.

  4. The news services have been reporting on the last hours of the Clinton team in the White House, which went on a rampage of petty vandalism in the White House before it was turned over to George W. They spray-painted graffiti on the walls and sabotaged computers and dumped garbage all over. Typical Clintonian juvenile delinquency.

Well, Little Slobodan and his party are going on a similar campaign of last-minute trashing before he loses the Israeli election. Except they are not just trashing the PM’s offices. They are trashing all of Israel. Barak understands he is about to lose and has decided to avenge himself on all those faithless Israelis who are betraying and abandoning him, by burying them in garbage. The Labor Party-run garbage strike is going into its third week, with rats and germs everywhere.

I wonder if Barak plans to join Clinton after the election to help him make moonshine at his Ozarks still.
