Nazism is based on the presumption that Jews are Untermenschen whose very presence is an affront to "civilized people", whose very existence is an outrage and an act of aggression, who pollute all superior races with their very propinquity.

Oslo is based on, well, essentially the same thing.

In 1988, a group of hiking school children was assaulted by the villagers of the Arab West Bank town of Beita, and the Arabs tried to lynch the children. Their offense was that they were hiking near the Arab town. In the riot, one of the Jewish girls, Tirzah Porat, was killed by gunfire, possibly from a bullet mistakenly fired from the rifle of a guard for the group.

At the time the government of Israel did nothing. Beita was not bulldozed, and went on to be the site of many Palestinian (someone suggested renaming them Pestilinian) atrocities. At the time, the entire Israeli Left came out in DEFENSE of the Beita pogromchiks. The children had been polluting the poor Arabs with their presence after all. The hike had been a provocation. Betselem, the so-called Human Rights Watchdog and actually an extremist Far-Left anti-Jewish group, issued a position paper denouncing the hikers and defending the pogromchiks.

The events yesterday were very similar to these older events in Beita. Once again the fundamental basis of Oslo was shown to be the presumption that Jews are Untermenschen whose presence is a pollution. A 64 year old Rabbi, a Holocaust survivor and father of 8 children, was murdered by the PLO when he and a group of hikers were attacked by a lynch mob. Once again, the Left accuses the "settler" hikers of provocation by their very existence and propinquity. The main difference is that since the 1988 attempted lynching, the West Bank stormtroopers have been armed to the teeth. By Israel. Down to and including anti-aircraft missiles. (In case you missed it, the PLO almost downed an Israeli chopper with a missile yesterday.)

And of course the Left keeps whining that it is NOT the PLO, only the uncontrolled mobs the PLO can’t rein in. Except that two PLO "cops" blew themselves up yesterday in Bethlehem while preparing a "peace offering" for the Jews, and the two mutilated/lynched rreservists were murdered in a PLO "police station" by the PLO’s wehrmacht.

And once again the army of Barak was commanded to leave all the wounded in the field to bleed to death while attempting for 5 hours to convince the PLO "authorities" to send help to them and evacuate them. Which the PLO ignored.

Meanwhile, the ADL’s Abe Foxman, the leading guru of "Liberalism as Judaism" in North America. He is upset because some want to organize a Jewish solidarity with Israel mass meeting. He does not want them to present the current war as a PLO war against Jews, merely against Israel. ANd so none of those dozens of anti-Jewish atrocities outside Israel these past days should be mentioned either.

Oh, this year the celebration of Beit Hashuava that ordinarily meets in the "City of David/Silwan" may not take place after Succos. Meretz petitioned the Supreme Court to prevent it cause Arabs live there and the presence of Jews would pollute them.
