Mental Illness Is Celebrated on Fox News

If you want to understand mental illness, watch the media, including the “conservative” cable channel Fox News. Fox News thinks it is headline news that “Liberal comedian Bill Maher linked House Speaker Mike Johnson to the Maine mass shooter, suggesting both were mentally ill…” Johnson holds a Christian worldview on domestic and world events. Maher is a notorious stoner, a proponent of “recreational marijuana.”   

It is mentally disturbing for a “conservative” channel to feature such nonsense. A Fox host, Jessica Tarlov, was on the Maher show on HBO, laughing it up. To make matters worse, Fox co-host Kayleigh McEnany discussed Maher’s attacks on his faith when she had the chance to interview Johnson.

Why is anything that the stoner Maher says newsworthy?

Meanwhile, on the “progressive” side, the Soros-funded Center for American Progress (CAP) is distributing a news release attacking Johnson as a “MAGA extremist.” 

In a brilliant move, Johnson has decided to introduce the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2024 so that U.S. ally Israel can get $14.3 billion in needed funds in its war on Hamas, taken from IRS funding in the so-called “Inflation Reduction” Act passed by Democrats.

Even before this move was made, one of CAP’s complaints was that Johnson wants to “defund the U.S. Department of Justice and special counsel Jack Smith's investigations into former President Donald Trump.”

If the Department of Justice, including the FBI, were functioning correctly, defunding Attorney General Merrick Garland and U.N.-trained lawyer Jack Smith would not be necessary.

However, FBI Director Christopher Wray made headlines on Tuesday about terror threats. Fox News suddenly treated his pronouncements as the Gospel.

Mental illness is all around us. You can’t escape it. 

For his part, Maher brags about his stoner ways. 

For his part, Speaker Johnson has been spending time in the Congressional Prayer Room, which includes a stained glass window with George Washington kneeling in prayer and the words from Psalm 16:1, “Preserve me, O God, for in thee do I put my trust.” 

“My name is Legion, for we are many,” was Satan’s answer to Jesus’ question, “What is your name?”  

Today, various “experts” insist that this is all mental illness.

But from the mass murderer in Maine to the Hamas terror attack on Israel, we see that a demonic force is spreading death and destruction in the world. 

Marijuana use may explain Bill Maher’s remarks. But how do you explain why Fox thinks his comments are noteworthy? 

We have substantial documentary evidence of the link between pot and so-called mental illness. This is the story Fox should cover.

States like Maryland are still expanding access to the mind-altering drug. It was legalized on July 1 under the supervision of Maryland’s Democratic Governor, Wes Moore, who made more than $1 million when he sat on the board of a marijuana company. 

The “progressive” group Maryland Matters notes that there are 101 licensed dispensaries in the state, while the coming round of “cannabis dispensary expansion” means more than 170 licenses will be issued, to “bolster social equity” in the industry.

This means the state wants to make it easier for minorities to get hooked on dope, generating more sales for the marijuana industry and more tax revenue for the liberal government.

It also means more crime.

Meanwhile, one of the marijuana companies operating in Maryland, Curaleaf, is under investigation by the state over its financial ties to a Russian businessman friend of Vladimir Putin.

In Illinois, where dope has been legal since 2020, McHenry County State’s Attorney Patrick Kenneally has required local marijuana businesses “to warn customers of the mental health dangers associated with use, including psychosis, depression, and suicidal ideation…”

The State’s Attorney’s office disclosed, “In 2022, McHenry County’s suicides nearly doubled, with cannabis, not alcohol, being the most common drug found in the blood samples of decedents. Hospitalizations for suicidal ideation and prevalence of mental health disorders in McHenry County have increased significantly since 2020.  About half of our recent murders involve cannabis or cannabis-induced psychosis, and cannabis DUIs have doubled.”

Hence, legal dope will inevitably lead to more mental illness and more violence and death. 

Incredibly, some jurisdictions in the United States are legalizing psychedelic drugs. We saw where that can lead in the case of the pilot charged with trying to disable a jet’s engines after taking psychedelic mushrooms. He was off-duty but riding in an extra cockpit seat on a Horizon Air flight.

He could have killed 83 people. 

The pilot, Joseph Emerson, “talked about the use of psychedelic mushrooms,” the affidavit in the case revealed. He said, “It seemed like the pilots weren’t paying attention to what was going on…I pulled both emergency shut-off handles because I thought I was dreaming and I just wanna wake up.”

Thankfully, this case of attempted mass murder was averted when the stoner was stopped and shackled. 

As if this case of drug-induced mental illness was not shocking enough, consider the spectacle of thousands of college-educated young people marching in support of the terrorism of Hamas.

Fox News acts horrified by all of this. Yet it features the anti-Christian remarks of Bill Maher and asks Speaker Johnson to respond to them.

Some think Maher is funny. I find Fox disgusting for covering his disgusting anti-Christian bigotry. It’s not funny.

I think they are all mentally ill. They need help. They need God.

Fox co-host Kayleigh McEnany, like many other Fox hosts, wears her religion around her neck, as a Christian cross dangles in front of her on the air, so she can advertise her faith. 

But Jesus taught, “When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men … but when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your father who is unseen, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you." Matthew 6.6

The Fox hosts do not fool me. They are worse than Maher, an out-of-the-closet stoner who should be pitied, not taken seriously or even laughed at. 

All of these people should go through rehab.
