Don’t Be Fooled By The Democrats' False Sense Of Outrage

Since the October 7 (2023) attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists, we have been beset with demonstrations, protests, and outbreaks of civil unrest. An already divided nation is now dealing with multiple issues that have further inflamed the divisions. Elite universities have produced a student body with a majority that has pledged their support for the Palestinian cause, and have even voiced their approval of the Hamas attack. Professors and presidents of these institutions, for the most part, have joined the students, or have remained mute on the matter of the anti-Semitism on their campuses.

There can be no excuse for the atrocities committed by the Hamas terrorists. There has been outrage from most sensible compassionate people throughout the world. But for some, the students, professors, and presidents of these prestigious institutions of higher education, seem devoid of any sympathetic conscientiousness. It is hard to believe that there are American citizens who devalue life to this extent.

But there is another issue that I have surmised, and that has led me to question the sincerity of the Biden administration and Democrats. It involves what I believe is their “outrage” at the violent and deadly actions of the Hamas terrorists. In particular, the brutal and malicious killing of innocent babies - some beheaded, others burned to death. Why, you might ask, would I express any reservations, when in fact these heinous acts were committed, and should we all not be outraged? I have read their words and listened to their voices of anger and disgust, and have determined they are suspect.

Consider, this is the same party that supports and defends abortion up to birth; this includes late-term abortion, without any restrictions. According to figures from the Center for Disease Control, and other institutions that track this information, over 12,000 late-term abortions are performed each year, and most are elective. 

Many late-term abortions require the procedure referred to as D & E - “Dilation and Extraction” (1), where the abortionist inserts a device into the woman and removes the baby in pieces. There is another procedure, where a device is inserted into the woman and then into the baby’s head, the brain is then suctioned out, forcing the skull to collapse. This is done in order to be certain that when the baby is removed, it is dead. (For those unfamiliar, the footnote describes this heinous procedure.)

Democrats cannot fully express the depth of their outrage at the suffering of innocent babies at the hands of terrorists, but they cannot find a scintilla of compassion for the unborn. Their callous disregard and apathy goes so far as to accept infanticide when an abortion fails and the baby is born and allowed to die outside its mother’s womb.

How does any decent, compassionate individual with a heart, who respects the dignity and sanctity of life, make such a distinction as Democrats have? It is my belief they are captives of their thirst for power, and are politically driven to advance their ideology. They are immersed in placating the far left and progressive wings of their party, and in particular the voting public. They especially seek to sway the votes of women, and this overrides anything else, even innocent life in all its manifestations.

The Democratic Party's total support for Planned Parenthood, which performs over 300,000 abortions a year, without restriction, is 100% without any members in disfavor. Any legislation put forth by Republicans to place limits on abortion, including abortifacient drugs, will find no support among Democrats. Under the Biden administration, since 2021, Planned Parenthood has received billions of taxpayer-funded dollars, and for the year 2023 PP received $593 million.

So the next time you hear Democrats express outrage at the atrocities of Hamas, keep in mind that this is a party that places its own restrictions, political and ideological, on the value of life. When it suits their purpose, for even the most self-serving of reasons, they can virtue-signal with the best of them.

1. To prepare for a D&E abortion, the abortionist uses laminaria, a form of sterilized seaweed, to open the woman’s cervix 24 to 48 hours before the procedure. The laminaria influence soaks up liquid from the woman’s body and expands, widening (i.e., dilating) the cervix.

When the woman returns to the abortion clinic, the abortionist may administer anesthesia and further open the cervix using metal dilators and a speculum. The abortionist inserts a large suction catheter into the uterus and turns it on, emptying the amniotic fluid. After the amniotic fluid is removed, the abortionist uses a Sopher clamp — a grasping instrument with rows of sharp “teeth” — to grasp and pull the baby’s arms and legs, tearing the limbs from the child’s body. 

The abortionist continues to grasp intestines, spine, heart, lungs, and any other limbs or body parts. The most difficult part of the procedure is usually finding, grasping, and crushing the baby’s head. After removing pieces of the child’s skull, the abortionist uses a curette to scrape the uterus and remove the placenta and any remaining parts of the baby.

The abortionist then collects all of the baby’s parts and reassembles them to make sure there are two arms, two legs, and that all of the pieces have been removed. From LifeNews.
