Tea Party Express Launches Nationwide TourAugust 3, 2009Contributed by a Concerned Citizen A national "Tea Party Express" tour (website: www.TeaPartyExpress.org ) will conduct a series of 35 tea party rallies across the country 35 days from now (July 23rd). The "Tea Party Express" will rally Americans to oppose the current policies of higher deficit spending, higher taxes, bailouts and quasi-socialistic government policies. Starting in California on August 28th, the caravan will travel eastward towards its final destination of the massive 9/12/09 Taxpayer March on D.C. The "Tea Party Express" is a project of the Our Country Deserves Better Committee, one of the nation's largest conservative political action committees. What started out a few months ago as a simple grassroots movement to voice growing frustration and dissent, the "Tea Party" movement has matured into a nationwide tour with a focused agenda: removing from office the members of government who have abandoned the principles of conservatism, circumvented the Constitution, and forgotten that they work for the American people. The Tea Party Express features action-oriented conservative spokespeople and entertainers such as talk show host Mark Williams, Marine Mom Deborah Johns, singer Lloyd Marcus, YouTube sensation Rivoli Review, Tea Party Patriots member Amy Kremer, and many others. At each rally, the tour will be holding local members of Congress accountable for destructive legislation and policy that reeks of socialism and threatens to permanently cripple the American economy. "Americans are increasingly waking up to the disastrous policies that have been advanced by Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid," said Sal Russo who is Chief Strategist for the Our Country Deserves Better Committee. "The massive interest in our Tea Parties shows that the people are now ready to take responsibility and fight back for the future of the nation. "In the face of rising unemployment, growing budget deficits, expanded powers for the federal government and repeated efforts to raise taxes to support more social services, the Tea Party rallies will play a major role in voting-out the worst offenders in government," Russo said.
