The Conservative Answer to the AARP

www.DrTom.TV

July 29, 2013

Are you like me? Does your blood pressure go sky high when you hear the extremely Liberal AARP claim that it speaks for all the senior citizens of the United States? If so, you will be as glad as I was when I discovered that there is a Conservative alternative to the AARP. You’re going to love AMAC.

AMAC, the Association of Mature American Citizens, was founded in 2007. Its mission was two-fold: To protect the interests of America’s seniors and to advocate the traditional American values of faith, family, and freedom.

How is AMAC different from AARP? Check out the ABC’s…

A – Abortion. AMAC is pro-life. They are against abortion in principle and feel it is improper to allow government funding of abortions, except to save the life of the mother. On this point alone, they are far more in tune with the beliefs of the majority of seniors.

B - Balanced Budget & the National Debt. They believe that the annual budget has become out of control; that the president and congress have lost sight of their responsibilities; and that if we do not manage our fiscal and financial health our nation is placed in serious jeopardy. By continuing to borrow we are putting a huge burden on our children and grandchildren.

C - Constitution. They actually believe in it and support it. After witnessing years of gratuitous assaults on the Constitution by the AARP and other Liberal groups, it is refreshing to find a Conservative group that stands for the Constitution and is willing to fight to defend it.

What about the other letters of the alphabet? I don’t have enough room in this article to point out all the ways AMAC represents the morals and values of the majority of Americans. Let’s look at just a few more.

Faith. AMAC believes what history clearly shows – that the United States was founded as a Christian nation. They stand for the rights of faith-based groups to be heard and to participate in the life of our country.

Medical Care. AARP supports Obamacare because as a result of it,  it stands to profit in the millions – on the backs of its own members. AMAC believes it is a serious mistake to have the Federal government interfere and dictate how medical care is provided in this country. A simple change in state regulations can solve most of the problems with people being covered.  Taxes. AMAC strongly feels that American citizens are excessively taxed. There should be a reduction in income tax rates for all wage earners. Likewise, corporations are over taxed. When a corporation is taxed they simply increase the cost of their product or service and the people wind up paying for the tax when the price is increased.

Does this sound like a group that you could support, and one that represents your interests? Absolutely. Does this article sound like an advertisement for AMAC? Probably. But I get nothing if you join AMAC, except for the satisfaction of knowing that I did you a favor – just as the person who told me about them did me a favor.

By the way, AMAC is working hard to provide a package of benefits that you won’t be able to find anywhere else. One of the main reasons people join AARP is for their discount programs and the insurance programs they sell. Check out the AMAC site before you look at anything else. Here are a few of the benefits they offer members:

Auto Insurance
Life Insurance
A Voice in Washington
Travel Program
Roadside Assistance
Reverse Mortgage Program
Dental Program
Prescription Discounts
Vehicle Rental Discounts
Driver Course that will save you money on auto insurance
National Discounts on:
·         Technology
·         Finance and Investments
·         Health and Wellness
·         Home Improvement
·         A Variety of Products and Services

Will AMAC represent your views in Washington? They will and they do. Even if you are not a member they are advocating for you and your values in the halls of Congress. So why not spend $16 for a membership for both you and your spouse, and help them help you?

You’ll be in good company. I took a poll on their website that almost 4,000 AMAC members have answered. 88% of them believe that Obamacare cannot be fixed. They state that the only answer is a full repeal of this abomination.

The founder and president of AMAC is an amazing man. He started his first business when he was 16 with no startup money – just hard work. He enlisted in the Air Force two days after he graduated from high school, and was chosen Airman of the Month on a base with over 5,000 personnel. He then ran a very successful insurance business for over 30 years.

But his most important accomplishment was the founding of AMAC. He retired to form a Conservative answer to AARP – because, in his words, “The United States is going through a period of drastic change that is tearing down the traditional values of our country.”

He says what Conservatives believe – that our Constitution must be upheld and the rights they represent to us as a nation. Those rights must not be blatantly shredded, or upon which be trampled.  Every year the power of government increases while individual freedoms are threatened. High taxes are causing working families to suffer. As Weber puts it, “It seems an individual’s right to practice their religion is attacked, only to be replaced by a strange social order.”

I have had the privilege of spending time with Dan Weber talking about all the things Conservatives cherish. He is a defender of free enterprise. He works hard every day to retain our private health care system and prevent the government from turning it into socialized medicine.

Dan believes that Conservative Americans deserve to have an organization of which they can be proud. He sees AMAC as a way to unite citizens to defend our American way of life. “They want to belong to an organization that will represent their best interest and we want to help them.”

If you would like to hear Dan share about AMAC in person. join us for the Christian Financial Concepts.com (CFC) Webinar on August 5th at 8PM Eastern Time. Just write to Webinars@Bellsouth.net to receive an invitation for this free educational event. You can also go to the CFC website to register. Dan will take your questions at the end of his PowerPoint presentation.

Take the time to learn more about this great group. You’ll be glad you did!
