Dirty Harry Reid

I could have chosen a photo of Harry Reid wearing his politician smile. But this image shows his true character. This is a man who lies, then lies about his lies. The fact that the Democrats in the Senate have chosen him as their leader tells us much about their character as about his.

Why would I waste ink writing about a politician lying? Isn’t that old news? Almost all politicians lie; we know that already. True; but Dirty Harry has elevated lying to an art form. If there were a US Olympic Lying Team, he would surely be chosen as the captain.

Some of his most outrageous lies were caught on tape recently – twice.

On February 26, 2014 Dirty Harry Reid clearly stated that Republicans were making up lies about Obamacare:

“We heard about the evils of Obamacare, about the lives it’s ruining in Republicans’ stump speeches and in ads paid for by oil magnates, the Koch brothers. But those tales, turned out to be just that: tales, stories made up from whole cloth, lies distorted by the Republicans to grab headlines or make political advertisements.”

But on March 27, 2014 Dirty Harry Reid came to the senate floor and said he never called Republicans liars:

“Mr. President, the junior senator from Wyoming has come to the floor several times recently talking about the fact that examples that he and others Republicans have given dealing with ObamaCare, examples that are bad, I’ve called lies. Mr. President, that is simply untrue. I have never come to the floor – to my recollection – I never said a word about any of the examples Republicans have given regarding ObamaCare and how it’s not very good.”

Note that he says he has never “come to the floor” and called the pain of American families lies; yet the video shows clearly that he made both statements from the exact same podium on the Senate floor.)

Note that the time between these two speeches on the floor of the Senate is exactly 31 days. One of two things is true. Either Dirty Harry has become so senile that he can’t remember something as outrageous as saying the personal ObamaCare horror stories of American families were lies just a month earlier. Or he is a liar so cynical that he believes Americans are too stupid to remember his earlier lies.

Either way, he should not be in leadership in the Senate, particularly in the top position. Remember, this is the man who decides whether laws can be brought to the floor for a vote. This is the man who decides which of his cronies chair the important committees that craft the laws. And – most important – Dirty Harry is the man responsible for pushing Obama’s Socialist agenda through the Senate.

Millions of Americans have lost their health insurance policies as a direct result of ObamaCare. Millions more have seen large increases in both their premiums and their deductibles. And millions will be denied care that the government does not deem appropriate, some of whom will die as a result. And yet Dirty Harry calls all of these Americans “liars.”

The bottom line is that Dirty Harry stands out as one of the most corrupt politicians in a mob of corrupt politicians. The people of Nevada, the state he represents, should be angry about the way he has abused their trust. The Mormons of Nevada should be furious that he uses his Mormon religion to justify his wrongdoing.

All of us should do everything we can to make sure that this man never wins another election. Unfortunately he does not come up for election again until 2016. One thing we can do is to work incessantly to elect Conservatives to both houses of Congress. If that happens, Dirty Harry will lose his job as Senate Majority Leader. He doesn’t even deserve to work in the Senate as a janitor. But I would sleep a lot better if he were demoted to Senate Minority Leader.
