Border Refugees Older Than We're ToldAugust 18, 2014The people crossing the border are not children.They are teenagers, according to a study by the Pew Foundation in conjunction with Border Patrol. In 2013, the study determined that, in round numbers, 35,000, or 88 percent, of those stopped were between ages 13-18, and only 5,000, or 12 percent, were younger. Why, then, are they being portrayed as children? You might not know the reason, but when this administration does anything, the answer is always “votes.”
