A Reader's Beautiful Response to Last Week's Rant

"Shall we pray?"

March 8, 2021

The following is a response to my "rants" of last week. (1)

The Response:

Your scattered rants are quite creative!

Some thoughts upon reading:

All nations have laws that are made by people. In various forms of democracies, people have a say through their votes (unless the election is stolen by wicked people, but that is another issue).

The more power the authorities have, the more laws they can make to satisfy those people and institutions who hold the money bags.

A government of greedy, immoral people (much less non-Christians) will never create and/or perpetuate a legal system of justice because that justice might limit their own power and money.  Worse, the non-Christians especially are prey not only for immoral people but for Satanic entities. That inevitably escalates the ongoing spiritual warfare, which eventually involves both the authorities, on every level, and the populace at large.

I think this has played out for centuries, especially for our own civilization, from the Greek and Roman civilizations. But human nature is human nature is human nature, no matter what the circumstances are. And evil begets evil.

So taking into account all you have written, we come to the question, "Well then, what are the solutions?" We can vote in (if it is still possible to have an authentic election) intelligent people with strong moral values, preferably a deep Christian with integrity, (not a Mike Pence type), certain skills, and great courage, steadfastness, stability, and stamina, able to withstand a constant onslaught of slings, arrows, barbs, fiery darts, hatred, heckling, lies, slander, ridicule, etc., etc. Not many people like that I can think of, but they do exist and have existed through thousands of years.

Because we are in the world and not the Kingdom of God, we have to deal with severe limitations, not only with human nature but with this growing tide of evil and sadistic cruelty, a darkness that can only be overcome with Light. And although we know how the Battle of the Ages turns out, we still have to soldier through the mini-battles in between, which is where we're at right now. The new mini-battles are a nightmare, a tsunami of lies, perversion, and corruption, with the most vile perversions of human nature on constant display. Every day I read something and wonder, "Can it get any worse?"  I am afraid it can, and even much worse.

So how then can we live in and through this crisis and clash of civilizations? Yes, we can pray and intercede, draw closer to the Lord, read His Word, everything that we as Christians should be doing anyway.

Still, there are other solutions that can help us and others through this chaos (as it so appears) - human and that contrived by wickedness in high places and the powers and principalities of darkness? We are in a battle and there are only two outcomes: victory or defeat.  I think sometimes we shy away from the practical, common-sense solutions because they do not seem "spiritual" enough. But we as Christians still have to live and do within the world system, while we do not have to be of it.

The Holy Spirit can lead us, teach us, and guide us into all things pertaining to Life and Godliness. In God are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Jesus teaches us how to be human in a world where Satan, although defeated at the cross and having no authority but only the power we give him), still has access to people's souls. Satan is even able to control them and inhabit them, as a virus inhabits a host. Hence, we live in a pandemic of evil - for how long we do not know.

We have put our hand to the plow and we cannot look back. We come to realize that we are totally dependent upon the Lord and being led by His Holy Spirit in big undertakings and small details. In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus said, "Without me, you can do nothing."

And yet, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

What then exactly are those things He would have us do in this period of time, starting with today?

So, Paul, what are your solutions?!

My Public Response to this:
Amen!!!

We must reach out to others and let our hearts be known, joining together with like-minded believers and any who would wish to reverse this wholesale onslaught of that which is holy and true and good!

Let us continue to pray, to speak out, to do good, and to not cower in fear as our opposition would want!

We are not alone, and we are not few.

"I was raised by a Christian minister, Kenneth Hayden, until his death when I was 10. Then my mom married a farmer. So I was raised in a very down-to-earth home. My faith has grown through the years, but both in conjunction with the institutional church and through small groups and individuals, including books as well as group settings, where deep, sincere faith is shared that aligns with Biblical truth."
