Whose Side Is Milley On?

The commanding general of the Joint Chiefs of Staff(JCS), which consists of the commanding Generals of the various branches of the military is supposed to be a loyal, straight-shooting stalwart of the United States military, who serves as the chief military advisor to the President of the United States. The vast majority of the previous heads of the Joint Chiefs have been officers of integrity. This is not the case with the present JCS commanding General Mark Milley. This general officer has repeatedly shown he is more concerned with pleasing the left-wing of the Democrat Party. 

Selected by President Donald Trump in 2018, General Milley has exhibited in his comments a tendency to pander to the extreme left. It is questionable, the type of military service he has provided to President Trump and the U.S.  In June of 2020, President Trump walked to the burned St. Johns Church in Wash. D.C., to show his support of the church and religion. General Milley was among the ensemble of staff and secret service accompanying President Trump. General Milley let his activist side get the best of him by apologizing for accompanying the President. 

When President Trump wanted to bring National Guard into Washington D.C., to stop the destruction and rioting, Milley along with Defense Secretary Esper succeeded in keeping the National Guard out of Washington. However, General Milley seemed to have no problems with Speaker Nancy Pelosi bringing the National Guard to Washington D.C., after the 6 Jan 2021 Capital Hill incident. 

Make no mistake, Gen. Milley has embraced the woke left and their socialist propaganda. Journalists Bob Woodward and Robert Costa have reported in their new book, Peril, that General Milley called Communist Chinese General Li Zuocheng, to stop a possible war with China. Woodward and Costa said Gen. Milley was “fearful Trump might spark a war,” as reported in The Washington Post. The Pentagon has confirmed there were two phone calls to General Li, Milley has confirmed that he has made calls to military leaders of other countries, during October of 2020. 

Senator Rubio (R-Fla), stated, “It was an act of treachery that posed a grave risk to our security and our constitutional order.” Yet, the Biden White House sees things differently and calls Milley a Patriot. General Milley essentially placed himself above a sitting President and conducted foreign policy behind the back of the President of the United States. 

On top of all this mess, Milley was at the helm in the Afghanistan disaster advising the Biden Administration. The shutting down of the defendable Bagram Airbase and selecting the highly exposed Kabul Airport, a bad decision that cost the lives of 13 U.S. military personnel. During a House Armed Services hearing on 29 Sept 2021, Gen. Milley appeared along with Defense Secretary Austin and head of Central Command, Gen McKenzie. All three claimed they had advised Pres. Biden to leave 2,500 Troops in Afghanistan to keep the Taliban in line. 

Joe Biden said no, they didn’t, during an 18 Aug 2021, interview with George Stephanopoulos, Biden repeatedly denied, that any such advice was given. Biden claimed the generals were more concerned about getting the troops out by the deadline. General Milley defended the Kabul drone attack that took place during the pull-out, for several days. But, Defense Secretary Austin admitted, they knew within hours, the drone strike had killed children. Milley knew but continued to lie to the public, that terrorists died in the drone strike. 

It is obvious, General Milley is a very political officer, and is more concerned with pleasing the political left, than protecting the country. Expecting this general officer to be focused on protecting the USA, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights is a sick joke. Unfortunately, other JCS generals are of the same mind as Milley, and this is dangerous for the People of the USA. This is the type of officers the radical left wants, while they are purging the military of our best soldiers.
