Thanksgiving Is A Time To Celebrate

Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate,

and for the moment put aside all your strife,

and to never forget the less fortunate souls,

as we thank God for the gift of life.

It's that time of the year as autumn leaves fall,

but let's not forget the true meaning of this day,

to give thanks for this bountiful land we share,

and not get caught up in all the food and the fray.

Give thanks for the gifts God has given,

your family, friends and your health,

and as we gather together in the spirit of giving,

know true happiness is not measured by wealth.

Give thanks for the food on your table,

even though its rewards may be small,

appreciate what you have, don’t envy others,

it's Thanksgiving, be happy for all.
