"They Got What They Ordered" - Kamala Harris, VP United States

March 28, 2022

Vice-president Kamala Harris reminded Democrats recently that she and the President have delivered to the American voters what they were expecting in the most recent general election. I thought about the statement and decided to look at what they have done and ask my readers to vote about whether they got what they “ordered”.

Below are some of the things Biden/Harris have delivered during their first year in office. Please answer for yourself.

Yes (Y), this is what I wanted, or

No (N), I did not want this.

“What say you?” Answer for yourself, as well as for your elected representatives.

Is this what you “ordered?”

Inflation last month was 7.9% and is the fourth month in a row that inflation hit a 40 year high. The price of things is rising faster than my wages, and I don't think the President and his people thought things through before making changes.

It cost me $85 to fill my tank, up from $40 last year. I know people who are spending over $100 per fill-up and more. Big trucks that move many things across America have twin 120-gallon tanks, so a fill-up is over $1,600. I have noticed fuel surcharges coming back. I don't understand how the President could restrict fuel fully knowing that green energy is in no way ready to replace carbon-based energy, and the result is that energy prices would go up.

I didn't understand that immigration reform would mean that over 2 million illegal immigrants would cross the southern border in the first year of the Biden administration. Again, Biden has virtually ignored the problem, and he and his team have no solution to the problem.

The President made many promises about COVID, including ending it in his first 90-days and at the end of his first year in office. More people died from COVID in 2021 than in 2020. We were told that the vaccine would protect us, and I have no confidence about what to believe from the Biden Administration on COVID. I know people who have had all three shots and still got COVID.

I supported getting out of Afghanistan, but the way we did it left behind $85 billion in equipment and thousands of American residents. The military's massacre at the gates to the airport was a low point for the Biden government. I was embarrassed and ashamed at the withdrawal. Do you support what the Biden administration did?

In August 2021, we pulled out of Afghanistan, and less than 8 months later, Putin invaded Ukraine. The President has told us for now that American troops will not be on the ground in Ukraine. Clearly, Biden has not handled Putin very well, and he has not told us the truth on Russian oil being exported to the United States. He left America the impression that Russian oil tankers would not be allowed to enter American ports, but now we know they will continue off-loading oil for 6 additional weeks. Do you trust what President Biden says?

If President Biden decides to run for re-election, would you vote for him?

   Y - N

Should Vice-president Harris invoke the 25th amendment and have President Biden retire as not medically competent to be President?

   Y - N

If you are dissatisfied with the performance of the Democrats in the House and the Senate, should control of both houses be changed to Republicans in the mid-term election?

   Y - N

Were you surprised and disappointed at the rapid decline in the economy?

   Y - N

If you are a registered Democrat, will you vote Republican in the mid-terms?

   Y - N

I want you to print this out, fill it out, and send it to:

It is essential to be realistic about significant changes if Republicans take control of Congress. So far, Biden has signed 22 bills into law. The President has also signed 85 executive orders, 64 presidential memoranda, 209 proclamations, and 43 notices. It is important to note that these items include thousands of administrative rules, regulations issued by the bureaucrats who have the power of enforcement - even though they are not laws passed by Congress.

When Donald Trump was President, we saw that he got the government off the backs of businesses. As sad as it is for me to say that, we need to elect a new President who will free American businesses of these regulations, which will not happen for another two-and-one-half years. In the meantime, electing as many conservatives to state, local, and national offices is the only way to bring about real change.
