Does The Liberation Of Twitter Foreshadow The Fall Of Cancel Culture?

Can 'Woke' survive 'Freedom of Speech'?

October 31, 2022

Repressive, tyrannical, and totalitarian regimes have always relied on two things to remain in power - propaganda and censorship. Or to put it another way, as T.H. White once said, “everything not forbidden is compulsory.” Interestingly enough that expression is also known as ‘the totalitarian principle’ - which perfectly sums up the philosophy to which the Democrat Party has devolved.

The former Democrat party of the ‘working man’ has slowly spiraled downward to become the strident party of hate, intolerance, and division. And as history teaches anyone whose mind remains open enough to read it, movements that rely on lies and intimidation to remain in power know that the only way they can hold on to that power is to repress and censor any hint of the truth.

That’s why all such societies from the USSR to Nazi Germany and Mao’s China brutally and ruthlessly outlawed and censored all voices but their own. First they did it with repression and later with incarceration for those who dared to defy their edicts…sound familiar?

They did not do this overnight but as in the case of all tyrannies, gradually, over time, little by little. First, they do it by taking over all of the means of mass communication and then by finally censoring all dissent.

That is where we find ourselves today - with the DNC State media in control of most of the media as well as entertainment, sports, education, and even commerce.

Nowhere has that been more painfully obvious than in the form of communication where most people express themselves and form opinions…social media. And since their inception, these have been solely controlled by dedicated members and proponents of the DNC elite cabal.

But now something new has happened to put a crack in that iron curtain of Leftist propaganda and censorship.

The former bastion of cancel culture censorship and pomposity, Twitter, has been taken over by a billionaire who says he’s going to bring back the one thing that the Democrats fear most. The one thing that can loosen their hold on power. The one thing that the party of lies, censorship, and propaganda cannot survive.

Freedom of speech.

So while this is only one crack in the wall of the state media monolith, history also shows us that sometimes that’s all it takes to bring the whole edifice of censorship crashing down.

Let’s hope this is the start.
