Major Announcement Concerning Conservative TruthBy Paul Hayden July 3, 2023I have been given a gift, an opportunity, a treasure. I will be taking over the leadership and publisher responsibilities of Conservative Truth (www.conservativetruth.org) for which I have been the Editor for well over six years. In the coming weeks and months I will be working on updating this website, and probably taking it in some new directions with some new features and components. This is exciting, humbling, and in some ways terrifying. Am I up to the task? I trust God that I can be! This transition seems to come as a natural progression in my life. I have a burning passion for words, related to writing and editing, and with a life-commitment to Christian faith, trust in God and the living Son of God Jesus. Decades ago I was described as and saw in myself a modern “scribe” – one who works with words. The Word is important to me. The former publisher, Tom Barrett, started this website way back in the year 2000, when loose chads in his county in Florida threw a presidential election into a tizzy concerning Al Gore and George Bush. Tom had become a friend and colleague during the five years I knew him until he passed on in late 2021. We never met, but we had a close and growing relationship. The physical world is important, to be sure. It is where we live, it supports us, and at times it is difficult. We must learn to live in it. But there is a spiritual aspect of the world as well, the world of love, thoughts, and ideas, the reality of God Who is Spirit. "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." (The words of Jesus in John 4.23-24) "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." Jesus, John 8.31-32 "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” Jesus, John 14.6 I am excited about taking charge of this website, to take it into its next phase, hopefully to help make it even more relevant and useful than it has been until now. Please pray for us in this effort, as we seek to glorify God in the process.

 Paul Hayden is a Christian believer, and an American patriot, necessarily in that order. He is a student of the Bible, and is avidly interested in our role in the context of history, as understood through the heart and eyes of faith. Paul has lived and traveled somewhat widely, and now lives in the heartland of the U.S. (central Illinois), with his wife Donna - they have five grown children. Since December of 2016, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of www.ConservativeTruth.org."I was raised by a Christian minister, Kenneth Hayden, until his death when I was 10. Then my mom married a farmer. So I was raised in a very down-to-earth home. My faith has grown through the years, but both in conjunction with the institutional church and through small groups and individuals, including books as well as group settings, where deep, sincere faith is shared that aligns with Biblical truth."
