We Are Seeing Anti-Semitism Not Seen Since NAZI GermanyAfter WW2 the world said "Never Again."By Bob McCray November 13, 2023
For the past month, the world has seen an explosion of anti-Semitism, with massive protests in major cities and universities. Most reasonable Americans are in complete disbelief of the protest on many of our university campuses supporting the October 7th HAMAS attack on Israel. They are calling for the eradication of the Jews and the nation of Israel. These so-called protestors claim they are protesting for the people in Gaza. They totally disregard the 1,400 massacred Israelis that were slaughtered by HAMAS, who attacked from their bases in Gaza. Yet they are threatening Jewish students with bodily harm. The professors in some of the universities are justifying the attacks on Israel and for attacks on the Jews. This is nothing more than an excuse to intimidate the Jewish populations around the world. Throughout history, anti-Semitism has existed. Emperors and Kings who were having financial problems and a restless population would blame the Jews for all of their problems and turn their armies loose to exact a terrible price in blood. Called Pogroms, they ran the gamut of persecutions to murder, all because they were Jewish. This anti-Semitism was taken to a whole new level by Adolph Hitler and his NAZI regime in the years leading up to and during World War 2. Over 6 million Jews died in the NAZI extermination camps. At the end of WW2, the scale of the camps and the number of dead became public knowledge around the world. The extermination of European Jewry is known collectively as the Holocaust. From this, the phrase “Never Again” has evolved into a statement of resistance. In the years after WW2 the survivors of the death camps found their way to the ancestral home of the Jews, in what is now modern Israel. In 1948, the State of Israel was formed. This triggered the 1948 war when the surrounding Arab countries attacked. In spite of being attacked from all sides, and attacked again in later wars, Israel has survived. Today, Israel is a strong democratic country in the Middle East and a strong friend of the United States. HAMAS has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2005, when Israel turned control over to the Palestinians. HAMAS is a terror organization of Iran and has attacked Israel repeatedly with rockets and terrorist attacks, leaving Israel little choice but to totally retaliate against HAMAS.
