Gavin Newsom Has His Priorities

Every year we hear stories of the wildfires in California, and you would think by now they would have figured it out. But sadly no, California Governor Gavin Newsom has taken incompetence to a new level. Newsom has been warned for years. The undergrowth and accumulated brush were completely out of control, the state was a tinderbox looking for a spark. 

Last week that spark fell on the dry brush, exploding into massive wildfires. West of Los Angeles, the Pacific Palisades fire has leveled 27,000 acres. And to the north, the Malibu fire has burned the homes of the rich and famous along the Pacific Highway. The Eaton fire in the foothills has burned 14,115 acres. All of the fires have been driven by the Santa Ana winds which can gust up to 50-75mph. 

Altadena residents are suing SOCAL Edison over the Eaton Fire, claiming faulty electrical equipment for the fire. The ideal situation would have heavy electrical cables buried underground, but as usual a commonsense solution is stopped by tree huggers. The fires in some cases burned unchecked because there wasn’t any water for the fire hydrants. The water reservoir was empty - the reservoir that would have supplied water has been empty for a year. 

In an interview on Fox Business Live on 14 January, actor Frank Stallone said. “We have, honestly, the worst governor definitely in the history of California, probably in the whole United States. And we have the most inept mayor, and we just have ineptness everywhere.” Stallone continued, “Of course, we can’t control the winds and stuff, but I believe there’s a lot of arson. I think it's environmental terrorism going on.” 

California’s elitist political class has ignored their responsibilities to the people of their state, to push extreme left-wing views like DEI and LBGTQ agendas. This type of government is the direct result of what happens when a single political party is in power. The amount of loony, crackpot, inept corruption is staggering, every decision is controlled by extreme environmentalists. California is run by the socialist Democrat Party. This is the type of left-wing extremism that would have been foisted on the United States if Kamala Harris had won the presidency.

If there was ever a clear message to the people of California, the wildfires have showcased everything that is wrong in their state and who is responsible. Now it is up to the people of California to throw out the inept and corrupt.
