Leave Some Room And Time For GodBy Paul Hayden January 27, 2025Time marches on. We all get older, if we are “lucky.” And hopefully, we will be learning all the while. Sometimes we might learn to keep our “pie-holes” shut and just listen to what the others might be saying. Sometimes, we might even learn some things about life, and ourselves, and the “others.” The instant reaction of feeling like you know so much more or better than others can make us unbearable at times. Give it time to work out, to develop, if you can. Rarely are things so desperate as to require an instant response, unless someone is about to get hit by a bus! Let the circumstances deal with them and teach them something. I think this is a stage of development for me, as I am getting older. After all, I lived through all my mistakes. And hopefully, as I said, I learned something from them. If you make it long enough in life, you can look back and see some of what you have learned - that is, if you can still remember it. As I reach the Fall season of my life, I know I don't have an unlimited number of time here on this earth. It doesn't bother me, really, but it is making me think some about what I am doing with each day I have left. It helps me treasure the days, even when they are not filled with lots of activities and excitement. Actually, I was never really one to like those kinds of days anyway. I try to just take each day as it comes, being thankful for life, and eager to see what God has in store for me for this day, including my daily bread.

Paul Hayden is a Christian believer, and an American patriot, necessarily in that order. He is a student of the Bible, and is avidly interested in our role in the context of history, as understood through the heart and eyes of faith. Paul has lived and traveled somewhat widely, and now lives in the heartland of the U.S. (central Illinois), with his wife Donna - they have five grown children. Since December of 2016, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of www.ConservativeTruth.org."I was raised by a Christian minister, Kenneth Hayden, until his death when I was 10. Then my mom Bonnalee Hunt Hayden married a farmer. So I was raised in a very down-to-earth home. My faith has grown through the years, but both in conjunction with the institutional church and through small groups and individuals, including books as well as group settings, where deep, sincere faith is shared that aligns with Biblical truth."
