Trump Adopts The “Putin Doctrine”

August 25, 2025

I had the misfortune of watching the fired has-been “journalist,” Eric Bolling, on the pro-Russian propaganda channel “Real America’s Voice,” interviewing another former journalist, Lara Logan, about how Vladmir Putin and the Russians are supposedly fighting the Nazis in Ukraine, and the United States is prolonging the war by supporting the government of Ukraine.

They forgot to mention that the Hitler-Stalin Pact started World War II. If this is what passes for MAGA television, then the new slogan is “Make Russia Great Again.”

Bolling lost his job at Fox News after being accused of sexual harassment. Logan, by contrast, is a courageous journalist who was sexually assaulted by a Muslim mob in Cairo, Egypt. She understands the dangers of Islamic ideology, but apparently not communism. She needs a quick education from such figures as geopolitical analyst J.R. “Jeff” Nyquist, who suggests on a new edition of my Rumble program that the failed “Art of the Deal” summit fiasco with Putin is an indication that there is something in the still-secret Epstein files that the Russians know about and are using to pressure Trump.

On this important show, J.R. Nyquist and I outline the next moves of the Communist power bloc that includes Russia, China, and North Korea.

History shows that the Nazis, who had a peace pact with Stalin’s Russia, turned on the Russians and moved through Europe, including parts of Ukraine, where they were welcomed temporarily by some as a viable alternative to the communists.

Today, however, Ukraine has a Jewish president, and the people reject all forms of totalitarianism. They are fighting for their lives against Russia, to the point where Trump’s wife Melania made public a letter to Putin alluding to how the Russians are murdering and kidnapping the children of Ukraine.

But Putin does not understand such pleas. Like Stalin, he does not care how many die on either side to pursue his goals. He only understands military force and economic pressure, the same kind that led to the break-up of the Soviet system.

At the time of World War II, Stalin rallied the Russians to save Moscow from Nazi conquest with appeals to nationalism and Mother Russia. It is the same trick now being played by Putin, with a gullible Western audience of the kind that populates the Stephen K. Bannon network known as “Real America’s Voice.” They want us to believe that Putin is a nationalist, not a communist, and that Russia is fighting the “New World Order.”

The real problem today was captured in the fact that the Russian foreign minister was photographed on the way to the Trump/Putin summit wearing a USSR shirt. This is the Russian objective as delineated in our book from 2014, Back from the Dead: The Return of the Evil Empire.

Trump can complain all he likes about this war starting under Democrats like Obama and Biden, but the outcome is in his hands.

If he goes down as the “Peace for our time” president with Russia, he will inevitably be compared to British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain and his phony deal with Hitler that helped pave the way for World War II.

What happened in Alaska was a new version of the old “Brezhnev doctrine,” named after the Soviet Communist leader, to the effect that the Russians never concede territories under their control and always intervene to safeguard communism.

The “Putin Doctrine,” seemingly adopted by Trump, says Russian aggression in Ukraine should be rewarded by the West, and that the Russians should keep the territory they have stolen from Ukraine, and even some additional land, as they regroup and import more North Korean troops for another major military thrust into Europe.

Trump went into the Alaska summit saying he would demand a ceasefire and, if he did not get it, he would impose countermeasures, including sanctions on Russian oil. Instead, he folded like a cheap suit to Putin, who was given the red-carpet treatment and got everything he wanted.

It was Putin practicing the “Art of the Deal” and making Trump his patsy.

I thought weeks ago that President Trump had a Damascus Road conversion about the nature of Vladimir Putin when he said about the former KGB operative, “He has gone absolutely CRAZY!” He made the statement after reassuring words from Putin were followed by a massive military bombardment of Ukraine.

With all due respect, Putin has not gone crazy; he remains a communist, and that is the problem. He is a demented killer of the communist variety.

Suddenly, at the Alaska summit, it was Trump who went crazy or at least weak in the knees, adopting the Putin Doctrine and betraying Ukraine and breaking his own promises to act against Russia and his friend “Vladimir.”

Is the explanation something still hidden in the Epstein files? Whatever is there, Trump must, for the sake of human freedom, reverse course and listen to the European allies who have already vowed to build up their own defenses in NATO to counter Russia.

For those who believe the propaganda emanating from Stephen K. Bannon and his toadies, I recommend the report, “The Strange ‘Death’ of Communism,” examining the way communists like Putin have fooled the West, including the Western media.

Our 2014 book Back from the Dead: The Return of the Evil Empire put together a list of examples of how international communist ideology still guides the conduct of Russian President Putin, a former KGB officer and one-time head of its successor agency, the FSB.
