Hate, The Devil, In Prose And PoetryOctober 20, 2025“A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil. Each man speaks from his heart's abundance.’’ Luke 11:28 America is suffering through a period, hopefully brief, of civil and political unrest. We are faced with a populace that is ideologically at odds, Right vs. Left, and a political class that cannot find any common ground, and at times who are at one another’s throats. And if one were to ask the reason for this dichotomy, some might say simple disagreements; but just listen to the words spoken and written, and it’s apparent a good measure of hate is at the heart of what’s wrong, and there is enough to go around. Although some might disagree, the greater extent of hate can be found residing with Democrats and on the extreme radical Left. The Democratic Party, media in all its manifestations - print, network, cable, and social in particular - are infested with hate-filled souls who say and do the most despicable of things. Their number one nemesis, of course, is the President of the United States, Donald Trump, supposedly a Hitler, fascist, and a threat to Democracy. There have been countless calls for violence and death toward the President, Republicans, Law Enforcement, Ice Agents, Border Patrol, and Conservatives in all sectors of the media. In a recent survey of Democrats, 55% responded that in some cases violence is acceptable, and 48% believe violence resulting in death can be condoned. This is the kind of response you’d expect from a career criminal. One of the most hate-filled depraved screeds in recent memory is brought to us compliments of the Democratic candidate for Virginia attorney general, Jay Jones. In a social media post, Jones directed his ire at Todd Gilbert, Republican state house speaker, with these malicious thoughts. “Three people, two bullets, Gilbert, Hitler, and Pol Pot, Gilbert gets two bullets to the head.” He also had similar words for Gilbert’s wife and two young daughters. What makes this so egregious is that Jones personally knows Gilbert and his family. Jones also had choice words for his hatred of the police. To this day, not one Democrat has asked Jones to step aside and withdraw from the race. But he has company. In another fit of extreme rage and hostility is Scott Semaya, Democrat candidate for a New Jersey school board position. He wrote on social media about a Conservative female member of the board, “This b---h needs to die.” What more can be said. One might tend to think the Devil has taken up residence in the minds and hearts of these lost, what seems tormented, and hate-filled souls. Perhaps we should all think hard about the quest for power, prestige, and materialism, and concentrate more on decency, fortitude, and the eternal, lest we give the Father of Lies an invitation to take up residence. You try to walk the straight and narrow He will pursue you without your knowing, And he knows the sinful and selfish, Waits patiently, is discreet, and always on the prowl, And there is a path that he will use, He cares for no one and will show no mercy, Don’t fall for the Evil One’s plans and schemes,
