Senator Fetterman Owes An Apology - On Behalf Of His PartyBy Phil Perkins October 20, 2025It would appear that Senator John Fetterman, D-PA, has become a victim of Stockholm Syndrome. That is, while his party leaders try to bully him into submitting 100 percent to their neo-Marxist agenda (or else), he continues to insist that he remains a loyal Democrat despite his uniquely independent streak. This independence has shown itself in the two ways that are anathema to the Democrat party – support for Israel and recognition that President Trump and his supporters are not “Nazis” or “fascists.” Because of these supposed sins, Democrat leaders in his home state are pressuring Fetterman to either shape up or ship out. This pressure includes a warning that he may be primaried when he’s up for reelection in 2028. Maybe it’s just me, but it sure seems like when one looks around these days, prominent Democrats are acting more like communists than ever, using Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals playbook with alacrity. And that should terrify the rest of us. Starting with the useful idiot Mamdani practically being handed the keys to New York City, current events are pointing to modern Democrats shedding any semblance of their forebears. When a Democrat candidate for Virginia attorney general wishes death upon his political foes and their families and refuses to drop out, and Governor Pritzker continues to brazenly defy any federal involvement in cleaning up the crime-infested mess in Chicago, it’s clear that Dems are becoming increasingly hardline in their positions. Former President Obama’s tendency to “double down” rather than compromise looks tame by comparison. Current Democrat leaders are more than willing to triple down, and less willing than ever to bend even a little bit. The ongoing government shutdown provides further evidence of Democrat intransigence. Although I appreciate conservative-leaning news networks such as Newsmax and, to a lesser degree, Fox News, there are too many talking heads on both who are laughing off the threat that is standing right in front of them. Making fun of it or trying to shrug it off is not going to make it go away. And calling the leftists “idiots” or “morons” does nothing to further our objectives (unless those terms are paired with “useful” to denote support of neo-Marxist beliefs). The bottom line is this - the neo-Marxists are playing for keeps, because that’s the only way they know how to play, and the only way that they can take complete control someday. They will either step over or crush anyone who gets in their way. How else do you explain their hostility toward Senator Fetterman, not to mention any minority politician who dares to be a conservative? With all of this going on, what’s preventing a “maverick” like Fetterman from changing parties, or at least renouncing his Democratic membership to become an independent? In my opinion, the ongoing immigration crisis may be a contributing factor. A case highlighted in a Detroit newspaper recently tells a story that could be repeated many times over across the country, especially in big cities. A hot dog vendor who’s been living in America for over 10 years has come forward to complain that ICE is trying to deport her. This is exactly the type of immigrant the Dems point to when they lambaste ICE and, by extension, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and President Trump. Using their logic, why deport someone who has been a productive “citizen” for years? It’s a tough challenge to refute, until one looks at how the immigrant entered the country in the first place – that is, illegally. While Dems may claim that this act alone constitutes nothing more than a misdemeanor, the fact is that when someone does this, they jump a massive line of people who are trying to enter by legal means. For a party that claims to be all about fairness, ignoring this injustice is not just unfair – it’s a figurative slap in the face to those who are pursuing the legal route to citizenship. However, to Democrats in general and Senator Fetterman, who still votes the party line 90 percent of the time, people like the hot dog vendor exemplify the unfairness of the administration’s deportation efforts. If the Dems were truly interested in resolving situations like hers, they would try to work with the administration on allowing some targeted exceptions. But they’d rather demagogue and turn Antifa thugs loose to protest about it. So, even as Senator Fetterman suffers the slings and arrows of his political party, he remains committed to them regardless. While he should be apologizing on behalf of that party for what it has become, since he’s the only Democrat who might be inclined to do so, I won’t hold my breath waiting for that to happen.
