California’s Government, Corrupt And Threatening To Parents And Children

Will there come a day when the insanity will end? If we’re to determine a cure for this deranged state of mind, the first place to look for a cause and then implement a remedy would be the state of California. Under the leadership of Democrat Governor Gavin Newsome and a progressive, far-left legislature, this governing body has shown the rest of the nation what not to do if your goal is peace and prosperity.

One of America's most beautiful states, yet California is plagued with crime, homelessness, illegal immigration, violent protests, and war on law enforcement. Newsome believes he is presidential timber, and is on a tirade, being interviewed on internet podcasts and radio, and appearing before audiences, insulting the president, questioning his sanity, and, in this writer's opinion, making a complete fool of himself.

But aside from Newsome’s questionable character and failure as Governor, it’s his hypocrisy that has reared its ugly head. In an interview this past March with the late Charlie Kirk, he responded to a question on biological males in girls' sports, saying it was “deeply unfair.” Recently, however, the Governor seems to have reversed his position.

On October 13, Newsome signed legislation (AB-749) called the “Youth Sports Act For All.” What it does is create a commission to determine if there is a need for a state office with the authority to investigate whether it is necessary to establish policy to regulate youth sports that would include improving access for transgender students regardless of gender identity. 

Republicans protested and believe this legislation is a clandestine effort that will result in biological males in girls' sports. Perhaps no one will notice, and besides, many people are too dumb to understand. It seems Newsome’s change of mind came about when Democrats in the state were disturbed and angered by his response in the Charlie Kirk interview. 

California State Republican Minority Leader Brian Jones was highly critical. “AB-749 is really just a disguise to actually further cement allowing biological males to compete against young women and girls in youth sports.” The bill’s sponsors accused Jones and Republicans of bias toward transgender youth. It is apparent the Governor does not possess the courage needed for his convictions, or he doesn’t have any.  

Their depravity and radical extremism know no bounds. Taking their debased and egregious thinking to stratospheric heights, Newsome and his radical Democrat comrades have willfully and unapologetically betrayed the people of California in introducing a piece of legislation that has to be one of the most ominous threats to parents in recent memory.

On October 12, Newsome signed into law AB-495, “The Family Preparedness Plan Act.” For the record, I was one of over 20,000 signatories on a petition sent to the Governor and legislators requesting he not sign AB-495; apparently, our effort failed. The act, in effect, removes a parent’s rights and guardianship in raising their children, and although it does not state specific areas of concern, it is believed transgender and abortion rights are the driving force. 

This law will give “Caretaker status” to any person, whether related to the child or not, to prepare a “Caretaker Affidavit,” requiring no parental signature and no court verification, and grants authority to make educational, mental health, and even life-altering medical decisions for a child.  

In the beginning of this article, I asked, “Will there come a day when the insanity will end?” Hopefully, someday, but not in California.
