Where, When, And How Did Life Begin?

I love this little meme that speaks of the meaning of life. The good thing about true life, is that we don't have to give meaning to life ourselves. God gives meaning to life, in His love, in His creation we witness around us, in every breath we take that sustains our life. 

Scientists, professors, and all the “learned” people, who wear robes and vestments to exhibit their intellectual prowess in the world today, collectively amaze me all the time. Just looking through the “suggested reading” articles, a feature of Firefox browser and others, I see titles and teasers to entice people to click and go to their websites, usually so they can further tease you with a paragraph or two, and then suggest that you can read the entire article if you subscribe and send them money. Typically, I don't. But I do get to read enough articles to know that all of the intellectualism in the entire world, with all the science we have going for us today, here at the heights of all the collective known history of man, most have no idea - or won't admit - where we came from, or how life began. 

Through “science,” some say they have discovered, through their telescopes, I guess, on a planet far, far away, a shimmer or color of a substance that might just be a key factor in the development of life. Oh, really. The planet supposedly is in a solar system of a star that is only 120 light-years away from us. I am fascinated by this! A light-year is around 5.865 trillion miles - the distance light travels in one year. 186,000 miles per second, times 60, times 60, times 24 hours in a day, times 365 for a year (rounded). Take that times the 120 light-years that the star is from us, and you get just over 700 TRILLION MILES! 

How they can determine what the color of a substance is through a telescope, even a really expensive one, from 700 trillion miles away, is amazing. Actually, it is just plain UNBELIEVABLE! But these folks, many or most of them, have no use for the faith that proclaims, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1.1

Man's collective intellectual capacity really has no idea where or how life came from. We can describe it, we can show how it works, and we can surely make life quite miserable (or joyful) at times. But we cannot reproduce it through science. We have about as much a clue as an amoeba, a little one-celled “animal” that shares this planet with us, about how to “create” any of the life we see around us. 

Let us continue to proclaim the obvious but well-kept secret that only some of the most brilliant minds among us would dare to admit:

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1.1
