The Bible Says "There Is No God..."

Theology And Philosophy

February 9, 2026

It says it in the Bible numerous times, “THERE IS NO GOD…” (It also says, or infers, “Don't be a fool.”)

That is how the headlines would read in much of the media these days. They are dishonest and corrupt in too many ways. Filled with deception. Be careful of taking words or phrases out of context!

In the Bible, it does indeed say, “There is no God…” Here's my proof!

For this reason You are great, O Lord GOD; for there is none like You, and there is no God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears. 2 Samuel 7.22

He said, "O LORD, the God of Israel, there is no God like You in heaven above or on earth beneath, keeping covenant and showing lovingkindness to Your servants who walk before You with all their heart…1 Kings 8.23

Whoever says “there is no God” finds his own place in the company of fools.

The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek Him. All his thoughts are, "There is no God." Psalms 10.4

The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good. Psalms 14.1

The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God," They are corrupt, and have committed abominable injustice; There is no one who does good. Psalms 53.1

There is indeed a God, the one, true, living God, the Creator of the Universe.

He said, "O LORD, the God of Israel, there is no god like You in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant and showing lovingkindness to Your servants who walk before You with all their heart…2 Chronicles 6.14

"Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ‘I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me…’" Isaiah 44.6

The love of the wisdom of the knowledge of God.

Philosophy is the love of wisdom. Theology is understood to be the knowledge of God, knowing about God, and all that such knowledge entails.

Both of these terms come from the ancient Greek and then Latin words with their definitions. I suppose there can be a “philosophy” of “theology,” the love of the wisdom of the knowledge of God. I don't think I've ever heard it put quite that way.

Some good verses in the Bible certainly shed light on this topic.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9.10

This is echoed in Psalms 111.10:

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever.

Also in Proverbs 4.7:

The beginning of wisdom is: Acquire wisdom; And with all your acquiring, get understanding.

And in Proverbs 1.7:

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The moral of this story: DON'T BE A FOOL!

Blessings, all!

"I was raised by a Christian minister, Kenneth Hayden, until his death when I was 10. Then my mom Bonnalee Hunt Hayden married a farmer. So I was raised in a very down-to-earth home. My faith has grown through the years, but both in conjunction with the institutional church and through small groups and individuals, including books as well as group settings, where deep, sincere faith is shared that aligns with Biblical truth."
