Are Today’s Democrats “Unhuman”?By Phil Perkins May 18, 2026I wish I was joking with this headline, but unfortunately, I’m not. All we need to do is look at prominent Democrats’ behavior over the last 40 years or so, to arrive at some frightening conclusions. In their excellent book, Unhumans: The Secret History of Communist Revolutions, authors Jack Posobiec and Joshua Lisec examine previous communist revolutions and draw some scary parallels with what’s going on in today’s America. Of course, no two revolutions are identical. But some significant commonalities can be observed among them. The most significant similarity is the devaluing of human life by the revolutionaries, who are so caught up in the righteousness of their cause and desire for power that any action, including murder, to advance that cause is justified. It isn’t just the Normie Norms, mostly apolitical except in election seasons, who are taken in by the extremist rhetoric today’s Democrats use to describe their enemies (that is, Donald Trump, his supporters, and most Republicans). Liberal voters in Virginia knowingly elected a Democrat Attorney General last fall who openly fantasized about killing a political opponent and his family. President Trump has had three known attempts on his life in the last two years, but the latest scuttlebutt from leftist influencers is that these attempts were setups to gain sympathy for the president. Never mind that the attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 2024 would have succeeded but for Trump turning his head at the last moment. The latest hot-button issue du jour, redistricting, has ignited a firestorm of Democrat protests about how unfair it is for Republicans to do this in the so-called red states, even though the Dems have been gerrymandering in their blue states for decades. When House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries brazenly claims that not only will the Dems retake the House of Representatives in November’s midterm election, but that they will go scorched earth on their redistricting plans and dare the Supreme Court or anyone else to stop them, this is a warning sign, not a random rant. Ignoring or laughing off such claims only emboldens the leftists to push their rhetorical boundaries toward action. If you think that today’s Democrats really care about preserving “democracy,” defined wrongly in today’s world as synonymous with freedom, think again. Let’s look at a litmus test of just a few key issues Democrats either choose to ignore or propose solutions that take us further down the road to full-blown socialism:
As noted by the prescient George Orwell in his peerless novel 1984, the dictators of a future age will turn everything upside down. This means, among other things, that the party of “compassion” is in reality the party of hate and destruction. Many of today’s Democrats have sold their souls to Marxism, and there’s no turning back for them. And the future is now, whether we like it or not.
