"Remarkably Bright Creatures..."By Paul Hayden May 18, 2026Remarkably Bright Creatures, with Sally Field. This is a recent, and very tender and touching film that touches our humanity, partly through the eyes and imagined, artistic thinking of an octopus. It is a very good movie, as it wanders into the differences between our multiple generations right now, our thinking and behavior. Each younger generation has something to offer the world and its older generations; but collectively, we need to remember what we have learned through the years of former generations. Our humanity, our weaknesses and strengths, our life and even our deaths, is worthy of constantly exploring and examining as we each seek to grow in our own life. What is life, really? There is a tenderness we can have as we relate to others in life, realizing that we do not know what anyone else has been through that day or in their life. The simple but profound rule of life - DO UNTO OTHERS WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO TO YOU! It holds true repeatedly through life. The older one gets, as a privilege and a reward, there is a realization of how short life is, and how precious it can be. And often when we are younger, we do not really understand what the “older folks” are really saying, until we find ourselves saying those same things as we get old! How special it is! God Bless You All!

Paul Hayden is a Christian believer, and an American patriot, necessarily in that order. He is a student of the Bible, and is avidly interested in our role in the context of history, as understood through the heart and eyes of faith. Paul has lived and traveled somewhat widely, and now lives in the heartland of the U.S. (central Illinois), with his wife Donna - they have five grown children. Since December of 2016, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of www.ConservativeTruth.org."I was raised by a Christian minister, Kenneth Hayden, until his death when I was 10. Then my mom Bonnalee Hunt Hayden married a farmer. So I was raised in a very down-to-earth home. My faith has grown through the years, but both in conjunction with the institutional church and through small groups and individuals, including books as well as group settings, where deep, sincere faith is shared that aligns with Biblical truth."
