Change...How To Deal With ChangeBy Paul Hayden May 25, 2026Change! What is it? Change is always happening, whether we like it or not. Many things change, but some do not change. The very things we would like to change often don't. But the things we want to stay the same forever - they too often change! So how do we deal with change? The adage about the “old dog” not learning new tricks becomes all too real after you have spent seven decades here on this planet. But change can happen. Some things SHOULD change, and some things shouldn't! It is just a learning process to discover which is which!!! Many people know - or at least have heard - 1 Corinthians 13 from the New Testament. It is called the “love chapter,” where Paul shares some wonderful qualities of the love of God, and how it looks in our lives. This little passage is worthy of study for an entire lifetime, to learn and apply it. "4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, There is another chapter 13, in the book of Hebrews, that has some excellent thoughts as well. Hebrews 13.1-9 The key takeaway from this Hebrews passage is that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” And “He Himself has said, ‘I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you.’” In a lifetime of faith, faced with all sort of changes from wonderful to horrible, these can be some of the most comforting words you will ever hear. God loves you, He has high expectations of you, and He is with you to fulfill those wonderful things of life. God Bless You All!

Paul Hayden is a Christian believer, and an American patriot, necessarily in that order. He is a student of the Bible, and is avidly interested in our role in the context of history, as understood through the heart and eyes of faith. Paul has lived and traveled somewhat widely, and now lives in the heartland of the U.S. (central Illinois), with his wife Donna - they have five grown children. Since December of 2016, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of www.ConservativeTruth.org."I was raised by a Christian minister, Kenneth Hayden, until his death when I was 10. Then my mom Bonnalee Hunt Hayden married a farmer. So I was raised in a very down-to-earth home. My faith has grown through the years, but both in conjunction with the institutional church and through small groups and individuals, including books as well as group settings, where deep, sincere faith is shared that aligns with Biblical truth."
