The Judas Goat

The President is, for all intents and purposes, the leader of our country and we were told that Barack Obama would be an exceptional leader in the mold of great presidents of the past. However, being a leader is not always a good thing. It depends on where the leader leads his followers. For example, stockyards would sometimes employ specially trained animals to entice and lead other animals from holding pen to holding pen. A trained goat was sometimes used to mingle with sheep and lead them into the slaughterhouse. While the sheep were slaughtered, the goat would be released back into the stockyard to resume its duties. It was known as a Judas Goat. Graphic portrayal perhaps, but allow me to site a few instances of where this illustration may be accurate.

To this point, Obama's economic policies have been an unmitigated disaster. After bailouts, buyouts, stimulus, cash-for-clunkers, etc., etc., (ad infinitum), he has Ben Bernanke running the Federal Reserve printing press overtime trying to keep this administration in cash. While he pays lip service to reducing the deficit, his only economic policy is to pile debt onto debt onto massive, unsustainable debt. They can't even calculate the debt correctly; their original estimate for the amount this administration will add to national debt was only off by two trillion dollars. After Obama is done leading us and our future generations into an economic quagmire of epic proportions, he will safely ride off into the political sunset.

Our Founding Fathers gave us a federal government with three separate and distinct branches. These branches have different powers and are to act as a check on the powers of the other branches. The President is the head of only one branch, but you get the feeling that Barack Obama thinks he was elected king. Case in point; these Czars he has appointed. There is no provision in our Constitution for them. They have not been confirmed by Congress. Congress has no oversight powers with regard to these Czars and they seem to be answerable to no one but Obama. We have seen no explanation of their powers and responsibilities. To my knowledge, there have been no bills introduced in Congress to fund their employment; so how are they paid? If Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid were doing their job as congressional leaders they would speak out that Obama may be usurping the powers of Congress to institute his own autocracy. However, they have voiced no concern over this situation even though they may be following Obama to the peril of the legislative branch of government.

President Obama's Attorney General, Eric Holder, wants to open an investigation into the intelligence gathering techniques employed by the CIA during the Bush administration. Remember that Holder cannot do anything without at least the tacit approval of Obama. Therefore, President Obama, the man who said he wants to look forward not backwards, is on board with the investigation. Many say it is because Obama has been losing the support of his lunatic left base due to his perceived waffling on government-run healthcare. No better way to get them back than to go after their favorite whipping boy. But no matter what the reason or what one may think of the techniques used during the previous administration, such an investigation will have a chilling effect on our intelligence gathering as it relates to terrorism and thereby emboldens the terrorists and further endangers the American people.

Saying, "We are partners with God in matters of life and death," President Obama and his cohorts in the White House and Congress have been trying to lead the American people into the slaughterhouse of socialized medicine. While the result would be disastrous for the people, especially the elderly and infirm, Obama and the nanny tyrants would escape with their access to the very best healthcare intact. Fortunately, thus far the American people have not been behaving like the sheep; they have been refusing to go.

Many have and will continue to say that President Obama's is trying to do what is best for our country and does not intend that any harm befall the American people. This may in fact be true, but whether or not the goat knew what actually happened to the sheep has been a matter of some debate. Regardless, the result was the same.
