Gut-Wrenching Challenge: Remaining Respectful & Reasonable during Obama Atrocities

In the BC (Before Clinton) years of my life, I was a liberal lamb living in the San Francisco Bay Area, capitol of progressive quackery and home to  “luminaries” such as Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer, and far too many other liberals for American democracy to have any decent hope of survival.

In 1994, my political sentiments were irreconcilably altered by Proposition 187, which sought to curtail illegal alien crossings into the US, by cutting off some of the perks that attracted millions of illegals to California in the first place.

Proposition 187 passed by nearly a 2-1 margin by California voters who were fed up with the illegal invasions and attendant threats to homeland security, American culture and language, and our economic and social security.

In a pattern that would become all too familiar, Judge Mariana Pfaelzer, an appointee of President Jimmy Carter, struck down most of Prop, 187, citing concerns about Constitutionality.

Talk about irony!

In 1994, a liberal judge shot down Prop 187, which was the will of 8 million, six hundred thousand citizens, based on her subjective interpretation of the Constitution.

20 years later, a lawless Democrat president seeks to “fix” the broken immigration system, which Prop 187 would have fixed in 1994, by completely ignoring the Constitutional checks and balances and Separation of Powers between the Executive and Legislative branches of government, in order to unilaterally enforce his prejudiced will instead of faithfully executing the law as the Constitution requires.

Before he left office in 1999, Republican Governor Pete Wilson’s legal team built a legal challenge to Judge Pfaelzer’s ruling. Many legal scholars believed that the challenge would prevail before the SCOTUS.

Unfortunately, for California and, as it turns out, for all of America, Democrat Gray Davis won the gubernatorial race to succeed Wilson. During the campaign, Davis promised to uphold the law and allow the appeal to 187 to proceed, a promise he scuttled after being elected Governor.

Davis was subsequently recalled and kicked out of office by voters, but the damage had been done.

So now in 2014, America is saddled with tens of millions of illegal aliens and a Democrat president who would rather increase the population of his party than follow the law and protect American citizens.

Following Obama’s immoral and unconstitutional decree on November 21, I find myself literally shaking with anger at the actions of our renegade president and deeply concerned about the future of our nation now that the rule of law no longer means anything…. especially as concerns American citizens.

Inasmuch as this conservative has never been shy about exercising my free speech rights with full gusto, it has been a struggle to remain calm and focused during this unprecedented assault on the American way.

It would be quite easy to say and write unkind things about Barack Obama, including expressions that could be misconstrued and might lead to personal trouble.

My choice, however, is to remain respectful and reasonable even in the face of contemptible disrespect and unreasonable behavior by the president.

I wish no ill to befall Barack Obama. I understand that people of his ilk are not at fault…they seem to have been born that way!
