Are We Being Totally Honest?

Is it about "saving lives"?

What's going on in the world? And in our country.

For some perspective, look at AND STUDY the information on this website - WorldoMeter. Take note of the various causes of death listed under "Health" more than halfway down the page.

Very enlightening, if you let it be.

There is much, much more to be afraid of than COVID-19, as bad as it is (not denying that). And I am not condoning fear!

These are worldwide numbers, for this year.

"Deaths caused by smoking" (this year) - 1,525,130

"Deaths caused by HIV/AIDS" (this year) - 512,868

"Deaths caused by abortions" (this year) - 12,969,000-plus


THESE THREE MAJOR CAUSES OF DEATH ARE THE RESULT OF CHOICES, either choosing to do something yourself or choosing to kill your own baby. THIS YEAR!!!

(Note: There isn't even a category for deaths by illegal drugs.)

And yet we shut down the country, destroying or drastically altering much of our economy, spreading fear and panic, because of just over 171,000 deaths (worldwide number) from COVID-19. (As of 4/21/20)

As my mom used to say, "The 'em-PHAS-is' is on the wrong 'sy-LAB-el.'" ("The emphasis is on the wrong syllable," highlighting it with wrong pronunciation.)

We are letting our attention be drawn from more impactful topics to subjects of lesser impact. Why? Be aware.

If it was truly about "saving lives" and not having hospitals and the health system overwhelmed, we would change diets, change the food industry, attack drug and tobacco abuse, and be more honest collectively about what is really going on in the world.
