Aren't You Glad We Don't Live In Nazi Germany?I mean, that could never happen here - right? Right..?By Ric Wasley July 27, 2020 After all, we are Amerca - the country that has been a beacon of freedom standing for the rights of the individual to think live and speak without fear of violence or censorship. Right? It's only those nasty conservative Republicans and Independents who voted for Trump that are holding us back from becoming the true Marxist paradise that the Left is demanding. So then, aren't you looking forward to November when, as the Leftstream media gushes, the Biden/Pelosi/AOC revolution will sweep away all of the evil that currently defines us unenlightened citizens of the United States? Well, according to Democrats we should be. Com’on folks, get with the program. We need to realize that the DNC’s plans for us are really of “our own good.” After all, as they tell us every day, all non-Democrats are really Fascists - and, their favorite buzz word - Nazis. But once the Democrat/Marxists take over, evil 'old' America will be remade in their new National Socialist image. I mean really - aren’t we are so lucky to soon live in the ‘Brave New World’ (apologies to Aldous Huxley) of today's Democrat/Marxist regime? And why is that? Because of course, today's Democrat/Marxist controlled culture is soooo…unlike those of nasty, violent, intolerant totalitarian states of the past. Yeah - right? When I was a kid I was fascinated by history. (Still am) I always wondered how the people who lived in terrible societies that trampled human rights underfoot never tried to do anything about it. As I said - I was very young and still believed that good would triumph over evil. I didn’t know that evil usually censors good and thus controls the conversation. In the long intervening years, I’ve seen how totalitarians bully, imprison, intimidate, and corrupt any and all speech, thought, and action that goes against their dogma. And if there is one thing that the story of historical oppression should teach us it is that everyone who stands against totalitarians and evil does so at their peril. So with that in mind let’s just look back and be thankful that all of the evil or repression and loss of freedom are behind us and give thanks to the DNC and the new Marxists. As their propaganda arm (the Left-stream media) is promising, a vote for Democrats will deliver us from all of those evil oppressions of the past by replacing them with their enlightened new dictates for Democrat rule to come under the soon-to-be inaugurated reign of old Senile Joe (providing that the media and voter fraud can prevail). And don’t worry if he seems a trifle vague and is not quite sure what office he’s running for (or what day it is). Once he's installed by the DNC and their media surrogates, Nancy, Chuck, Adam, and AOC will stick crazy old uncle Joe in the basement of the White House and run the country just fine. So - just to make everyone feel better and get you on board with the new standard of ‘double-think’ to come, here’s a list of things to be thankful for that could certainly never happen under the new enlightened and "Woke" regime to come. And it's proof positive that the new Democrat National Socialists are nothing like the last bunch of National Socialists that did such great things for Nazi Germany. Under Democrat rule… In Nazi Germany, the party sent their thugs into the street to smash shop windows and beat up the store owners. Under Democrat rule… In Nazi Germany, the party arrested you for defending yourself against the mob. Under Democrat rule… In Nazi Germany, if you were a good Nazi you eagerly participated in riots, oppression, harassment, intimidating, bullying, raping, murdering, burning, and beating anyone who dared not to kneel and abase themselves before the power of the party. Under Democrat rule… In Nazi Germany to speak against the party or its leaders was a crime punishable by fines or imprisonment. Under Democrat rule… In Nazi Germany, the first thing they did after taking power was to confiscate all guns and make self-defense a crime. Under Democrat rule… In Nazi Germany, the party demanded full conformity because the party was everything and the individual had no rights. Under Democrat rule… In Nazi Germany, any deviation from PC (Political correctness) was punished by social and party condemnation followed by a one way trip to a concentration camp. Under Democrat rule… In Nazi Germany, you were required to obey the party in thought word and action at all times. Under Democrat rule… In Nazi Germany, your beliefs, religion, family, and even thoughts were secondary to the dictates of the party. Under Democrat rule… In Nazi Germany people were bullied and intimidated at polling places and threatened with violence if they did not vote for the party candidates. Under Democrat rule… In Nazi Germany, all entertainment was controlled by the party, and all movies, art, and music were strictly required to glorify the party and vilify its enemies. Under Democrat rule… In Nazi Germany, all books published were controlled by the party and mandated to glorify the party and their leaders while vilifying their opponents. And chances are you could think of dozens more examples of evil and corruption that have always existed every time that a ruthless, unprincipled, oppressive, freedom-hating totalitarian regime has bullied and violently intimidated it’s way to power in a previously free society. And history if it has taught us nothing else it has certainly proved to anyone paying attention that when we let those repressive, liberty-hating totalitarians to take over a country, it ensures that oppression, violence, and tyranny will follow. Every. Single. Time. But of course - aren’t we glad we don’t live in Nazi Germany…? Hummmm….

 Ric Wasley is a writer and lecturer, as well as the author of the popular McCarthy Mystery Series.
