The Latest Leftist Religious Denomination

The left has always said the same thing regarding virtually all traditional religions – that they are devoid of science, logic, and critical thought – that religion is just a man-made concoction to control the weak-minded.

But really, there is nothing more religious than leftism. Like traditional religions, leftism has its own denominations and sects. One may concentrate on Climate Change, another on race, yet another on gender, or feminism, etc.

Although each denomination has its own unique sacrament, like windmills and solar panels, there does appear to be one that is predominant among all leftism.

This sacrament is the sacrificing, not of livestock, but of children, veiled in a woman’s right to choose – abortion. One cannot be a devout leftist without agreeing that this practice is a sacred tradition that cannot be halted, impeded, or altered.

There is a confession, where you acknowledge and proclaim your sins against Mother Earth, races you have consciously or subconsciously oppressed, and genders you have thus far refused to affirm and embrace. After confessional, you’ll be expected to tithe, in the form of taxes and other coercive payments.

And of course, all denominations of the religion of leftism have an all-powerful being they worship. This is, of course, government.

Unlike traditional religions that have been with us for millennia and more, leftist religions are relatively new. And the newest, or latest and possibly the most powerful and influential denomination is that of Virus Prevention and Mitigation (VPM).

Despite being completely void of scientific proof, the VPM sect of leftism has successfully encapsulated believers and non-believers alike, forcing its sacraments on all – namely mask-wearing, social distancing, lockdowns, and shutdowns.

So successful has this latest denomination been that the spread of Islam at the height of the Ottoman Empire seems insignificant by comparison.

And it seems they take their sacraments more seriously than any other religion.

As Daniel Horowitz writes regarding masks:          

“You shall not utter a negative word about them. You shall never question their effectiveness, even when they've failed to work for six months. You shall never be caught without the idol on your face – even on the face of your two-year-old, for that matter. You shall worship the cloth until the bitter end.”

And it doesn’t matter whether science directly debunks their core religious beliefs – they simply ignore the science, command that we do the same, and continue.

Just one glaring example:

“On October 23, researchers from MIT and the University of California San Francisco published a preprint study titled, ‘Decrease in Hospitalizations for COVID-19 after Mask Mandates in 1083 U.S. Counties.’”

It was ballyhooed by many as proof of the efficacy of the mask sacrament. But Oops!

“On November 4, they were forced to withdraw the study ‘because there are increased rates of SARS- CoV-2 cases in the areas that we originally analyzed in this study.’ Oops. I guess the masks worked until they didn't.”

In other words – masks or no masks – social distancing or no, just like others before and to follow, “the virus is spreading universally more than ever (because of the cold weather and seasonality) despite months of extremely unprecedented draconian mask-wearing and other voodoo restrictions.”

The only way out is through herd immunity, with or without a vaccine, or any other religious sacrament the left invents.

So with some luck and cooler heads, maybe the VPM denomination of leftism will go the way of the Canaanites.
