Barbarians Are At The Gates

The Ivy League politicians have proven once again, the military wins the wars and the elite Ivy League geniuses, the politicians, lose the wars and destroy the peace. I was serving overseas in April of 1975, when the last helicopters left Saigon. All of those in uniform received a red 5x8 card, thanking us for our service during the Vietnam War. Big whoopee! What was accomplished? Over 58,000 U.S. dead and the rest that served there were wounded, if not in body, in their minds, images they will carry to the grave. Worst of all was the public attitude toward anyone who served during the Vietnam War. The left-wing politicians and the press blamed the military for the war, everyone in uniform was a baby killer. 

We have just witnessed a repeat of Saigon, Vietnam, with the evacuation of Kabul, Afghanistan. Forty-six years have passed since Vietnam, and the geniuses in Washington D.C. haven’t learned a damn thing. Maybe, it’s because many of them were hiding under their university dormitory beds during the Vietnam War, avoiding the draft. Or is it the addition of the clueless Wokey Dopey socialists applying their fantastic worldly knowledge to our diplomacy? 

Afghanistan is in many ways like the fall of ancient Rome. The Barbarians were at the gates, Joe Biden was fiddling away with his ice cream and cookies. The Generals were more concerned with learning to speak ‘Woke' in order to keep their jobs and retirement. The gutless actions of these cocktail party generals showed a disconnect, incompetence, and a complete dereliction of duty, they are a disgrace. 

After watching the nauseating statements and actions of our diplomatic and military leaders, I look at younger family members and the others of their generation, who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, they feel betrayed. They are paying the price of the never-ending nightmares, the buddies they lost, many of whom were killed just inches away. For twenty years, there have been no repeats of an attack, like on 9/11; that part of the mission was a complete success. All of that success has been thrown away, Joe Biden took off down the road, like a scalded dog with his tail between his legs. He and his Ivy League Elitist buddies have totally destroyed all of the gains and prestige of the United States. 

At first glance, it’s easy to assume massive incompetence and stupidity. But when you look at the Biden Administration, it has subjected the American people to one bizarre pile of garbage after another. Things are beginning to look like there is a deliberate effort to destroy the U.S.A.  Much of this mirrors the Obama/Biden Administration, their effort to run from Iraq, and their efforts to fund terrorists in Iran. It seems Barak Obama is in his third term, and maybe he is seeking to be president for life.
