The American People Have Spoken, No More Taken For Fools

November 29, 2021

The American people sent a message on November 2; stop taking us for fools, and we will no longer be victims of leftist ideologues and cultural elites.

Like many of the American people, whatever their political and ideological persuasions, I too looked with anticipation and hopeful expectations for the right election results on Tuesday, November 2. But unlike the many, I did not sit staring at the silver screen watching the numbers changing, or the multi-colored maps of the U.S. broken down by county and listening to the moderators giving updates and their observations of the election and candidates.

No, I read a good book, a classic by one of the great authors. Not that the elections were in any way insignificant or without great importance, they were, and so I would pause at intervals and check on the current results, in particular the governor races in Virginia and New Jersey. But like many, I too after the 2020 presidential election have some misgivings and skepticism at the accuracy and legitimacy of the election process and results, especially uncertainty of the honesty and fairness of the media and Democrats and what they are capable of. Thankfully things worked out, especially this time.

“Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.” This often-used expression is usually spoken in a rather lighthearted manner. It could mean taking advantage of another’s gullibility in certain situations, be they jocular or more intense. But in all seriousness what I believe it does speak to, in essence, is deceit. Aside from it being at times, harmless, it can also be used to deceive someone with embarrassing or even harmful results; it can have a dark side, especially when it comes to politics.

The American people have been fooled for far too long, and believe the country is on the wrong track. The races I mention for governorships, and other contests across the nation, have revealed that the people in a loud, clear, and righteous voice, spoke out forcefully and determinedly that they are tired, frustrated, and angry, and will no longer be victims, or dupes, of the Biden administration, Democrat Party, and demagogues in the media, education, big business, Silicon Valley, and the radical progressive left.

Parents came out in force, especially the mothers of students. They confronted school boards in defiance of Critical Race Theory, gender neutrality, lewd and sexualized books used to teach their children as young as five years old, and they voted for Republicans. The Republican victories involved more than the candidate’s platforms and domestic and foreign policy positions, I believe they also spoke to the traditional values and institutions, to the family and Judeo-Christian heritage that laid the foundation of this nation; in other words, to the heart and soul of America.

The majority of the people finally saw the light, and have come to the realization that the Democrat Party, and all the usual suspects and rogue gallery of misfits and reprobates have been fooling them for far too long with deceitful tactics and propaganda served up by the media and ruling class. What took place in these elections is thought of by many as a bellwether, a harbinger of what some believe will define the 2022 elections for congressional and senate seats. Let us hope this will be the case.

George Orwell wrote “Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful, and to give an appearance of solidarity to pure wind.” Orwell’s cynicism is well founded. With some exceptions, most politicians today have no hesitation to fabricate and deceive the public. They have an agenda, and will obfuscate and twist the facts to suit their desired ends, and many are motivated by self-serving methods that are favorable to their reelection. Although they will tell you that their motives are purely honorable and that their constituents are their main concern, be skeptical, and don’t be fooled.
