The Danger And Threat To Traditional Military Values

October 10, 2022

The values and traditions of the military are under assault. Radical left Marxist propaganda is infiltrating the rank and file, and teaching academies, threatening the safety and security of America and the people.

The military of the United States has been recognized the world over as a heroic and esteemed fighting force. Its origins can be traced back to June of 1775 and the American Revolution. Back then it was called the Continental Army, under the leadership of General George Washington. From the beginning, the battles fought would shape both the nation and the military.

The military has engaged in many battles: Lexington and Concord, Siege of Boston, Ticonderoga, and Bunker Hill; these are but a few of the conflicts waged during the Revolutionary War. The Mexican-American War, Civil War, Spanish American War, World Wars I and II, Korea, and Vietnam, and wars in the Middle East; from its earliest inception to today, the men and women of the military have fought bravely, many having made the ultimate sacrifice.

Two major factors that gave the United States military its power and many victories were its cohesion and fighting spirit, but most important was maintaining its neutrality, and complete separation from any political, ideological, and cultural interference. Race, ethnicity, and religious belief were not imposed as any restriction or mandate on who would serve their country.

But over time and in post-modern America, agenda-driven ideologues, and extraneous anti-traditional-values forces, have begun to infiltrate along with their radical extreme Marxist propaganda into the military. This has been in the works for some years, and although it was being challenged and thwarted during the Trump administration, it has gained momentum under the current Biden administration.

You don’t have to go to any extreme, or delve into the depths of military history to find examples of the infiltration I speak of, and the ‘woke’ standards; even its current leadership has expressed acceptance of this insanity. General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, responded in a congressional committee hearing that he is troubled about what he referred to as “white rag,” yet gave no examples. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has spoken about similar concerns.

It appears most of this apprehension among military brass is their attitude toward Christians, and the threat they believe they pose among the rank and file. This threat is manufactured out of their religious bias, and what the brass consider Christian beliefs of LGBTQ and gender ideology, which are acceptable, defended, and supported in today’s military. Following are two examples of what I believe are proof positive of a calculated effort to insert a leftist progressive agenda into the military. It is cultural harassment, which threatens both the moral foundation of the armed forces and new enlistments.

The Air Force Academy in Colorado offers the “Brooke Owens Fellowship.” The application form that is required to apply for the program is directed specifically at “undergraduate women and gender minorities,” in other words men do not qualify and need not apply. You might ask who gender minorities are. According to the program, they encompass: “cisgender women, transgender women (biological males), non-binary, a-gender, bi-gender, two-spirit, demi-gender, genderfluid, genderqueer, or another form of gender minority.” Diversity and inclusion training are part of the curriculum, and cadets are required to address people in ways that “include all genders.” Inquiries have been made and forwarded to Lieutenant General Richard Clarke, superintendent of the academy. There has been no response as yet.

Judicial Watch is a government watchdog group that filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Defense, for what it discovered was Critical Race Theory propaganda being taught at the Military Academy at West Point. In the records that Judicial Watch received, was material on “whiteness, which is necessary to understand racial inequality and slavery.” One particular graphic was titled “Modern-day slavery in the USA.” Included was “White people and people of color live racially different structured lives.”

The president of Judicial Watch, Tom Fitton, explained it this way “Our military is under attack from within. These documents show racist, anti-American CRT propaganda is being used to try to radicalize our rising generation of Army leadership at West Point.” I’ll add to this, we all must stay informed and speak out, and in no uncertain terms let the radical Marxist left know, the American people will not stand for this attempt to create a weakened subservient military.
