What's Coming...for Conservative Truth?By Paul Hayden July 17, 2023
Don't you just hate POLITICS!?! I do. I am planning to broaden the scope of Conservative Truth to be far more than political discourse. What is the underlying foundation of not only politics, but life itself? Truth and honesty, caring about one another, making life better, each of us doing our part. That is what this adventure of life is all about. At least part of the meaning of life…is to help give life meaning, for yourself and others. All of this can include the political realm, somehow. But life is certainly not only about politics, though you would think so by all the global warming hot air coming out of the mouths of so-called “newscasters” and talking heads of talk shows and such. Politics to me is the horrible behavior intended to get people elected, or re-elected - empty promises, false hopes, lies about the competition, and so much hot air - it surely must be far worse for the atmosphere than bovine flatulence! We are in a serious cultural war, to be sure, in our country and in the world. But there are many who live far removed from the war zone. They don't recognize it or acknowledge it. I myself am looking for balance. Trusting God helps one to rest in the hope and faith that God takes care of us. At the same time, there is much evil in the world that we must fight, resist, and eliminate, in love. I want to be realistic, without becoming cynical. There is much that is still good in the world today. I have heard that every new baby born is God's way of saying He wants the world to go on. I like that!
