Your Final Chance

This week marks your final chance to help people you care about make a good decision in the voting booth. That may sound like a strange statement, but after talking to hundreds of undecided voters, and reading through thousands of emails, it is clear to me that there are still millions of Americans who aren’t certain how they will vote on November 6th.

I heard someone say recently, “Friends don’t let friends vote for Obama.” Of course we can’t stop people from voting for a man who will continue to lead our nation down a path of ruin, but we can help them make an informed decision. This article can help in that regard, so pass it on to open-minded friends.

There are many, many people who voted for Obama in 2008 who have realized they made a very bad decision, and will not repeat their mistake by voting for him this time. But I am firmly convinced that there are still millions who will vote for him again – unless they are given facts that will hopefully open their eyes.

Michael Gordon, Democrat columnist for the New York Post, voted for Obama in 2008, but said he cannot do so again. He described Obama’s administration as “the most partisan, dishonest, and incompetent” of his lifetime. I can imagine how disheartened he had to feel, an former ardent Obama supporter, to utter such amazing words.  He is one amongst the many disillusioned people who believed the “Hope and Change” lie.

The first thing independent voters must realize is that extremist presidents tend to tone down their rhetoric and actions during their first term, always with their bid for re-election in mind. It isn’t until their second term that they begin to reveal their true colors. Even though Obama was able to restrain himself in many areas in his first term, just wait until you see how he acts if he is re-elected. As the saying goes, “You ain’t seen nuthin’ yet!”

We’ll talk more about this later, but in an Obama second term you can expect more socialism, higher taxes, a national debt above $22 trillion, astronomic inflation, probable seizure of guns, possible seizure of gold and silver, and likely nationalization of IRA and 401k accounts as happened in Argentina. If this occurs, your retirement money will either be dumped into the black hole of Social Security or you will be forced to sell the assets in your plan and buy U.S. Treasury debt instruments. (These are both plans under consideration by Democrats; either one will devastate your retirement savings.) Finally, you will discover that Obamacare is far worse than even the most pessimistic economists have envisioned. When all the regulations called for in the Bill (which have yet to be written) are implemented, you will not recognize the American health care system.

A crucial issue the undecided voters must comprehend is that they are voting for further, deeper economic misery if they vote for Obama. The Obama campaign has droned on for four years about the “mess they inherited.” I used to be a firefighter, both as a volunteer when I pastored a church in North Carolina, and later as a professional firefighter-paramedic. Firefighters inherit a mess when they arrive on a fire scene. But they douse the fire with water. Obama poured gas on the fire, and caused the mess to grow to proportions far worse than when he took office.

If you listen to Obama’s spin, you would believe that when he took office the economy was the worst since the Great Depression. This is simply false. I did months of research on the subject. By every measure, including the stock market, housing, GDP, the National Debt and a dozen others, we have experienced at least a dozen times when the economy was in as bad or worse shape since the Depression. But if you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it; that is what has happened with Obama’s massive Great Depression lie.

Those of us who are old enough remember that Ronald Reagan inherited an even worse recession when he took office. But by this time in his first term he had turned the economy around, new jobs were popping up and he dramatically lowered the tax burden on middle class Americans in the process! The nation was so happy with Ronald Reagan that he was re-elected without breaking a sweat.

Obama continues (after four incredibly ludicrous years!) to blame everything on George Bush, and accepts no blame whatsoever for his own mistakes. The sign of a true leader is that he accepts responsibility for his own actions. But Obama also conveniently forgets that his own party started us down the road of the housing crisis in Jimmy Carter’s term, and made it much worse during the Clinton years. The indisputable fact is that Bush inherited a Democrat housing crisis that came to full bloom while he was in office.

Bush proposed laws and regulations that could have saved us from the “Panic of 2008.” But he was met with opposition at every turn by such Democrat luminaries as financial criminal Chris Dodd, homosexual child molester Barney Frank, and of course, Barack Hussein Obama himself.

Let’s point up some specific reasons why Obama should not be permitted to rape and pillage the United States for another four years. We will look at both promises kept and promises broken.

During his first campaign he promised to reduce the military by 50%. I know he has been discussing strengthening the military during this election year, but Google it. You will see numerous videos in which he made this horrendous promise. He has not yet succeeded, but has managed to weaken our military at every opportunity. If he is gifted with four more years, this is one promise he will keep. You will see the military cut by 50%.

He promised to redistribute the wealth. He has gone a long way down this path, but true Socialism awaits us in “Obama, the Sequel.” He couldn’t implement the Marxist training he received as a young man in term one and expect to be re-elected. He promised Russian President Dmitri Medvedev that he would have “more flexibility” in dealing with our missile defense and requested “more space” after his “last election.” Medvedev replied he would relay the information to incoming president Vladimir Putin.  (The exchange was picked up on open microphone as reporters were let into the room for remarks by the two leaders. Obama didn’t realize the microphone was on.) Obama will use term two to implement the “economic justice” that was drilled into him by his Communist parents and mentors.

He promised to “cut the deficit in half” in his first term. (Excuse me while I collapse in derisive laughter.) In fact, he has doubled the deficit in every year he has been in office from the largest prior deficit. That occurred in Bush’s last year – about $500 billion. But Obama has added more than double that every year for the last four, including this year.

Put another way, Obama has added far more to the National Debt in four years ($5.7 trillion) that George Bush did in eight ($4.7 trillion). If you take away Bush’s contribution to the debt, Obama has added more to the National Debt than all the presidents that preceded him. When President Bush took office the National Debt stood at $5.7 trillion. That represents the debt accumulated by our first 42 presidents over a period of 225 years. Obama has added almost $6 trillion in his first (and hopefully, last) four years.

He promised a more prosperous America. During his term the average American family has suffered a $4,300 per year reduction in household income; 15% of Americans (over 46 million people) are living in poverty, and one in seven is on food stamps – 46% more than when Obama took office. Gasoline prices have doubled, and food prices are up by 34%.  All of this, despite the trillions of dollars Obama has recklessly spent.

He promised that he would close Guantanamo Bay and stop the intelligence community from using the techniques that kept us safe following 9-11. He quickly realized that this was a promise he could not keep since holding the terrorist trials at Guantanamo kept American cities safe. To be fair, he has decreased the number of detainees at Guantanamo by about one third; but many of these promptly returned to their work in terrorism. And the intelligence gathering and interrogation techniques that Bush instituted provided the info we needed to locate and kill Osama bin Laden.

Obama promised Hope and Change. He said that he would make Washington, DC, a more civil place. While campaigning, he said, “My momma always told me that if you can’t say anything nice about someone, don’t say anything.” He said that he would work with Republicans in a non-partisan way. Reporters and professors of politics from all across the political spectrum have called this the most divisive, partisan administration in recent history. Obama rammed through Obamacare without a single Republican vote. Never before in American history has a sweeping change such as this, one that will change the economic and political landscape of the nation forever, been shoved through Congress without support from both parties.

He promised the “most transparent administration in the history of our nation.” Yet, on the whole, Obamacare and other legislation of enormous size and scope was devised in secret. Republicans were not permitted input until the legislation was already written. Furthermore, Obama refused to even meet with Republican leaders for months at a time, during some of the most critical periods in the past four years.  This is the Obama version of transparency and bi-partisanship.

A more recent example of his lack of transparency is the Benghazi, Libya affair. Within four weeks after we were attacked on 9-11 we were bombing the terrorists responsible in Afghanistan. Yet six weeks after the terror attack that killed a U.S. Ambassador for the first time in 42 years, Obama is still stone-walling the American people. People in his administration admit that the president was watching what happened there in “real time.” Within hours the intelligence agencies were clear that it was a terror attack. But for more two weeks Obama continued to blame it on an obscure 13-minute video on YouTube. Even when he spoke before the United Nations, he mentioned the video six times, and only used the word “terror” once in regard to Benghazi.

Today he continues to lie to America about this tragedy. He claims that he told all levels of our military and intelligence community to act to save our people. To quote him: “the minute I found out what was going on, I gave three very clear directions. Number 1, make sure that we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to do.” But no help arrived until after seven hours of attack, during which four Americans died. Congressman Jason Chaffetz, who is investigating the affair, spoke to U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) General Carter Ham. AFRICOM, who would have mounted any rescue operation, stated that, although forces were available, he received no order from Obama to assist the personnel at our consulate. According to this 4-Star General, the president is lying.  This week’s revelation from sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that there were three urgent requests from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. Consulate. Repeated requests for back up for a subsequent attack were denied by officials in the CIA chain of command — who also told the CIA operators to “stand down” rather than help the ambassador’s team as late as 9:40 PM when shots were heard. Facts continue to emerge in this horrible chain of events, further exposing Obama’s lies.

Obama promised to work towards energy independence. Yet he has continued to deny drilling permits on public lands. (The increases in oil and gas production he brags about came almost exclusively from drilling on private lands.) Instead, he put billions of our tax dollars into risky, unproven wind and solar schemes. Hundreds of billions were lost in investments in which the government has no business, the most famous of which was the Solyndra debacle that cost the U.S. half a trillion dollars.

Under Obamacare he promised that we would be able to keep our same doctor and health care plan if so desired. Millions of Americans have already discovered what a serious lie that was. He promised health care costs would drop by $2,500 per family. The average American family is now paying $2,370 MORE per year for health insurance. He promised us that there was no mandate involved in the Obamacare bill. (A mandate is a requirement that every American buy government-approved health care insurance whether or not they want it or need it.) The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that it be mandated.

All of this is bad enough, but wait until 2014 when the Bill will be fully implemented! Thousands of businesses (including huge corporations employing thousands) have said that they will be forced to drop health insurance coverage completely when Obamacare is fully in force. There is only one opportunity to overturn Obamacare and that is on November 6th, and Americans making certain that Obama is a one-term president. If not, full-blown Obamacare will become a fact of life for Americans.

He promised that he would “take up the problem of entitlements – quickly.” He has done absolutely nothing in this regard. He has not proposed one piece of legislation that would save Social Security and Medicare, and has blocked every Republican effort to save these programs; 50% more Americans are on food stamps than when he took office; 8 million more are on Medicare; 11.7 million more are on federal disability. The REAL National Debt is not just $16 trillion. When the money the government is obligated to pay out for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid is added to the $16 trillion, the REAL National Debt is well over $100 trillion. Folks, there is not $100 trillion in value in this entire country. We are bankrupt, and only a few people have the courage to admit it.

Finally, Obama promised that his $878 billion stimulus would create millions of jobs. In fact, the only jobs created in the last four years are jobs that cost taxpayers more money – government jobs. We’re still waiting for the jobs that create prosperity – private sector jobs. With 23 million Americans out of work or underemployed today, the jobless rate stands at exactly the same level it was when Obama took office. He promised America in February, 2009, on NBC that if he didn’t improve the unemployment rate in three years he would be a one-term president. Let’s help him keep that promise!

LATE BREAKING NEWS:

A group of Navy SEALS posted this on Facebook this week:
“Obama called the SEALS and they got bin Laden.
When the SEALS called Obama, they got denied.”

This was a reference to the fact that two former Navy SEALS posted at the CIA station in Benghazi requested help from Washington when they learned the US Consulate was under attack by terrorists. They were denied any support. Then, even though they were not assigned to protect the Ambassador, they went against their orders to “stand down” and went to the Consulate, where they died trying to protect American lives.

Mark Zuckerberg, the notoriously Liberal billionaire who owns the majority interest in Facebook, CENSORED the SEALS post. They forced the SEALS to take it down after hundreds of thousands read it. Fortunately, Beitbart.com preserved the post on its website. You can see it here:
