Another Reason for Michelle Obama's Pride: Robin Roberts' Homosexuality

I don’t know which is more ridiculous – the idea that Americans care about the sex life of an ABC anchor; or that the First Lady felt compelled to congratulate her for discussing it in public.

In case you were fortunate enough not to have heard this great news flash, "Good Morning America" anchor Robin Roberts – who most people already knew was a lesbian – announced on Facebook that she was a lesbian. Not exactly earth-shaking news, as I said. Who cares, anyway?

What has me perplexed is why Michelle Obama felt it was vital that she congratulate this woman for acts against God and nature. Hasn’t the First Lady already done enough to diminish this White House and make her husband’s administration a laughingstock?

From her statement that Obama’s nomination was the first time she was ever proud of America, to hugging the Queen of England, to her multi-million dollar vacations on our dime, this woman has been nothing but an embarrassment to our country.

On February 18, 2008 in a speech given in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Michelle Obama said, "For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country.” Later that same day she tried to recover in a speech in Madison, Wisconsin by saying: "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country, and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change."

In April of 2009 Obama and Obama visited with the Queen of England. I don’t know if Michelle ignored the protocol training the State Department gave her before the trip, if she was not smart enough to comprehend what they told her, or if she (like her husband) thinks rules don’t apply to her. The fact is that you simply do not touch the Queen of England.

Michelle Obama ignored protocol, and in doing so embarrassed our nation. Much of the world sees us as boorish and unsophisticated. The First Lady reinforced that perception.

In August of 2010 the First Lady took one of her daughters, “40 of her closest friends,” and a dog (yes, a dog!) on a lavish vacation to Spain. The White House stated, "The First Lady is on a private trip." If it was private, why did we have to pay for it? The trip, which cost almost a half million dollars, was certainly not official business.

I understand that whenever the First Lady travels, taxpayers have to cover the costs of travel for security reasons. But did she have to stay in one of Spain’s most luxurious 5-Star resorts during a great recession when Americans were suffering? No. Did she have to bring 40 friends with her? No! Did she have to bring a dog along? NO!!

To clarify, U.S. taxpayers paid for a kennel and a dog-handler. It didn’t stay in a suite. And the White House refused to admit the number of guests Obama took with her. So the number of guests was revealed as the result of an investigation done by Andrea Tantaros, which was published in the New York Daily News.

When she discovered that Robin Roberts had admitted that she was a lesbian, Michelle Obama gushed via her Twitter account “I am so happy for you and Amber! You continue to make us all proud.” (Amber is Roberts’ long-time lesbian girlfriend.) Why that should be a source of pride for anyone is beyond me. Obviously the First Lady has a warped value system.

Admittedly the Obama administration has slavishly licked the boots of homosexual activists for five years. This White House was already the friendliest in history to homosexuals and other deviants before Michelle pulled this stunt. But by publicly congratulating this woman for behavior that a large majority of the population worldwide acknowledge as sinful, Michelle Obama has sunk to a new low.

I wonder if the institution of the presidency will ever recover from the disgusting behavior of Barack & Michelle Obama.
