Is it Racism?

July 29, 2019

I won’t bother to give Webster’s definition of racism. Anyone reading the articles on this site already knows the definition of racism. But more importantly, anyone on this site also fully understands that the word “racism” in today’s America is more correctly defined as “division” because no racism is involved in the hot button issues of today’s sociopolitical culture.

Addressing the border issue has nothing to do with racism. Addressing the “squad” has nothing to do with racism. Racism is the catch-all word for the left to continue its commitment to dividing America. Exclude the term racism and consider that the left is faced with the realities of the border issue. Exclude the term racism and the left is faced with the realities of four women banded together for the purpose of sowing division for no purpose other than to tear at the fabric of our Nation. There exists no reasonable argument to either of these two issues, leaving the enemy in our midst seeking to deflect focus away from the real purpose of their efforts. The word racism is used because there really are no other legitimate directions to go. Use of the term is designed to stop the country in its tracks. Yet, there does not appear to be a knowledgeable response to fight back. Washington cowers in the corner rather than deal with the word racism.

What value does this approach have? “People of color” that are committed to remaining blindly trapped by this deception are not going to be voting for anyone that doesn’t cry racism at the drop of a hat. But those “people of color” who resist enslavement to the left are not only voting against this trap but I suspect that if approached properly, the number of thinking “people of color” would increase. So, why are we afraid to make the call? Stop cowering in the corner and enter the battle. And don’t try to dress it up. You can put a pig in a dress but it is still a pig. And a pig in a dress won’t win this war for the soul of our nation. If the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will answer the call? That is straight from the Bible but has been applicable since mankind’s beginning. If attack or retreat cannot be readily discerned from the trumpet call, defeat is imminent. The right had better make a certain call and make it soon. It should embarrass future generations that our nation failed because no one knew the definition of racism or that those who did know the definition were too cowardly to sally forth into battle.

Make no mistake about it. We are not dealing with racism, we are dealing with division. Again, since man’s beginnings, we have known that division leads to loss. No one has ever argued with the expression, “United we stand, divided we fall,” because it is evident. Egypt, Persia, Greece, Rome - all spent the final years in chaos because reality was not addressed in time. Dodging the bullet by leaving it to the next generation may get you to the grave before the hardship comes, but your own children and grandchildren will be spending their lives in the gutters of your failure. Do you really love your grandchildren or are you, in reality, in love with yourself? Perhaps this is the definition of a pig in a dress.

I am inclined to think, or maybe I am just hoping, that the accusation of racism is beginning to wear thin on Americans. People who prefer white chocolate are considered racist today. This should be a risk to the left, but because the right has done nothing, the odds of gaining victory in spite of the risk is good odds. But the division that is exploding today will not leave us. And division will be the destruction of our nation if we don’t get it in gear.

But if we really want to deal with reality, it is the American public that is either too stupid or too deceived to engage the enemy. The left began to jerk Trump around even before he took office and yet the American people gave a majority in the House to the Democrats. And here we are. We have no one to blame but ourselves. The greatest enemy of liberty is having liberty.

Raised in a large family in Southern California, Patrick gave up the hippie life style and became an American after spending thirteen months in an airmobile unit in the Central Highlands of Vietnam.  Upon return, campus demonstrations no longer seemed to be anything more than the tantrums of pampered children.   Married upon return home, plans to attend the Colorado School of Mines were abandoned and replaced with a day to day job in a warehouse.  Working his way up to General Manager, Patrick was in position to purchase the company from the estate after the passing of the founder.    The Company is now fifty-two years old and with ongoing plans to pass the torch to his sons who have spent their lives in the company.

Patrick credits his fifty year marriage and any other successes, first and foremost, to his relationship with his Creator, without Whose wisdom these successes would likely not have come to pass.  With so much sociopolitical insanity in our nation demanding to be ruled by tyranny, Patrick is committed to do whatever he can to sound the alarm and alert Americans to the call to defend our liberties.
