“And when they [the wise men] had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” (Matthew 2:11).
GOLD: It is easy to see why gold is an appropriate gift for Jesus Christ. Gold is the metal of kings. When gold was presented to Jesus, it acknowledged his right to rule. The wise men knew Jesus was the King of kings.
FRANKINCENSE: Incense was also a significant gift. It was used in the temple worship. It was mixed with the oil that was used to anoint the priests of Israel. In presenting this gift the wise men pointed to Christ as our great High Priest, the one whose whole life was acceptable and well pleasing to his Father.
MYRRH: Myrrh was used for embalming. By human logic it would be odd to present to the young King a spice used for embalming. But in this case, it was a gift of faith. We do not know whether the wise men knew about Christ’s ministry, but God, Who led them as to what gifts to present, certainly knew that he would suffer and die for man’s sins.
I don’t know of any frankincense and myrrh shops. But I do know where I am getting the Gold and Silver bullion coins I’m giving this year. GoldenArtTreasures.com is the main supporter of ConservativeTruth.org and of my ministry, ChristianFinancialConcepts.com. They are currently overstocked on both Gold and Silver Bullion and want to reduce inventory before the end of the year. In addition, they can assure delivery by Christmas for qualified purchases.
In many cultures it is traditional to give a newborn child a gift of Gold. It is also a great way to teach young people the truth about money. You know that the Federal Reserve Notes you carry are not money, but your sons, daughters and grandchildren probably don’t. In fact, they probably think credit and debit cards are money. What better way to teach them about money than to give them a gift of real money? A bonus to this approach is that they are less likely to save it and less likely to spend it than if you gave them cash.
This is a great time to buy Precious Metals. Gold is temporarily down 10% from its recent high, and Silver is down a similar percentage due to uncertainty over the elections. All markets, including Gold and Silver, hate uncertainty- and this is reflected in their price action. But experts tell us that when both the national elections and the vital Georgia Senatorial elections are definitively decided in early January, these metals will resume their strong upward trajectory.
We don’t normally accept any advertising, but I am writing this for two reasons. If it weren’t for GoldenArtTreasures.com, we would have to ask for donations in order to continue our work. Also, I know many of my readers are like me: They’ve waited until the last-minute, and now they need a present or presents that will arrive in time for Christmas. The fact that both Gold and Silver are at bargain prices doesn’t hurt. You can call 561-753-6099 to order Gold or Silver; or go to www.GoldenArtTreasures.com and request a phone call.
